Hi @rickwiel
I am glad to help. I can pass this info to the plugin developers, but I have a couple questions first.
What do you mean by “on a page (The Event Calendar)” is it related to the plugin called “The Events Calendar”? You also mentioned “my hosting Litespeed Server and cache”, could you please elaborate a bit more on this and also on the issue and describe the scenario and the visible effect?
If you can send links and or screenshots and any other info that would help. The more details we have, the better, just to reduce the back and forth and present the developers with all they will need to investigate this.
I will be waiting for your reply.
Thanks again.
Hi @sublimese
You can create portrait thumbnails if you go to NextGEN Gallery > Gallery Settings and choose your gallery type, then set “Override thumbnail settings” to yes, set values for “Thumbnail dimensions”, and set “Thumbnail crop” to “no”. See Here
This way the portrait images won’t be cropped to a landscape image.
This procedure I mention will set this option for all future galleries you use the gallery display on and also for existing ones that have the default settings used.
If you want to change this for specific galleries, you can go to the page or post where the gallery is inserted, edit the gallery and then click “customize display settings” at the top. Change the same settings and then insert your gallery and update your page or post.
Let me know how it went.
Thanks
Hi @sublimese
I am glad to help.
That is your server execution time limit. You need to ask your hosting company to increase it, we normally recommend to set it to at least 300. The error points to the function that exhausted the time limit, but it is not the one that sets it.
You can see your time limits, filesize limits, post limits, etc from your site health section. Go to Tools > Site Health > Info Tab (at the top), then click Copy Site Info to Clipboard. Paste the info in a notepad (CTRL+V or CMD +V) See here
You can look in the wp-server section for the following:time_limit: (at least 300)
memory_limit: (at least 300)
max_input_time: (at least 300)
upload_max_filesize: (biggest singe file you will upload)
php_post_max_size: (biggest total payload to process)I hope this helps. Let me know how it went.
Thanks

It seems that you are using the paid version of NextGEN Gallery. If you have an active license subscription with us, could you please submit a support ticket through the NextGEN Gallery account dashboard when you have a chance??
From there, our support team will be able to take a closer look at your request.?

It seems that you are using the paid version of NextGEN Gallery. If you have an active license subscription with us,?could you please submit a support ticket through the NextGEN Gallery account dashboard when you have a chance? For more context, www.remarpro.com’s goal is to ensure that paying customers and free users get the best support they can, from the ones that can give it.?
The www.remarpro.com forum is moderated by volunteers and as volunteers do not have access to the paid products, they recommend reaching out to?the authors of the code, as the issues you are having involve paid gated features, it is better to avoid mixing it with the features of a free plugin or theme.?
From there, our support team will be able to take a closer look at your request.?
Thanks!Hi @glasoline
I am sorry for very late reply, I somehow missed this, I saw your review for NextGEN Gallery and traced this thread from there.
Just took a look at the and discussed it with our developers, so it is on their radar now.
I will keep you posted.
Please feel free to reply if you have any new info or anything we should know in the meantime.
Thanks for the report and again, sorry for the delay.
Hi @sfrueh
I would like to try to replicate this issue on a test server and see if we can figure out what happens.
We have not had any other reports of this.
I see you mention “article” and “article category”, are you using a custom post type called article or are you referring to just regular WordPress posts?
Could you please give me detailed steps to reproduce the issue? I need to be sure I understand what is happening.
It seems to me you have let’s say 2 posts with a category, post 1 is the oldest and post 2 is the newest, so when you try to open the album in post 1, it directs to the album in post 2 which is the latest, basically everytime you add a post with an album to a category all previous albums will break and point to the one you just inserted?
Please clarify.
Thanks
Hi @guilby
We are sorry to hear you are having issues with the search function. NextGEN can import Title, Caption/Description and IPTC Keywords, the latter will populate the tags field in the galleries.
Search is a paid function so, if you have an account please log in to imagely.com/acccount and open a support ticket from there so we can better help you.
Have a good one.
