Yes, this is a pretty important feature for my web sites. It allows me to put a Button below my affiliate images. And, the Button (as you know or you probably wouldn’t have created this plugin), makes it much more obvious to readers/shoppers to click through.

I would really appreciate if you could make this work or help to get WordPress to “fix” it’s code to allow short codes again. I’m guessing that change to WordPress wasn’t intentional.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

    Pralu,

Thank you for creating such a great plugin.

Here is an example page that is seeing this problem:

    https://www.dakotasays.net/the-best-puppy-food-for-german-shepherd-breeds/

As you can see on this page, the button style is working at the beginning and the end of the page. However, the last three images also have button styles and they are not showing up. For example, for the last image that shows Royal Canin dog food, create that image from the WordPress Edit Post page by:

    – Selecting the “Add Media” button
    – Entering the following text into the Caption field:
    [wpi_designer_button text=’ADOPT ABUNDANCE’ link=’/amazon/RoyalCaninGermanShepherdAdultDryDogFood’ style_id=’38’ icon=’digg’ target=’_blank’]
    – Enter Alternate text “Royal Canin Breed Health Nutrition German Shepherd Adult dry dog food”
    – Under Display settings I choose Align right
    – Under Display settings change Link To to ‘Customer URL’, and in the text box I enter ‘/amazon/RoyalCaninGermanShepherdAdultDryDogFood’ (which is another link on my site.
    – Under Advanced Options I check the ‘Open link in a new tab’

I have done the same thing for the two images before the Royal Canin image.

Let me know if you need anything else.

FYI, I copied back in older copies of WPi Designer Button plugin, and that didn’t fix the issue.

Could this be an issue with the latest WordPress (4.7)?

For my current three web sites, I have always had multi-site. And, up to now, I was only familiar with being able to network deactivate.

I did what blueatlas suggested and that seemed to work. Thanks!

And, thanks Josh for the plugin.

Hmm… First of all, thank you for your investigation.

My guess is that I turned that option on in Speed Booster Pack because Google Page Speed Test told me I needed to do that to improve my sites speed.

So, I’ll have to look into why I didn’t do the same thing for my other two sites.

I’ll have to do some more investigation to see how much damage to my sites speed there is if I turn this off. I’ve got an item on my ‘to do’ list to go figure out some speed issues that are “red” in the Google Page Speed Test. Not looking, I’m guessing it’s that option.

Ideally, it would be better to be able to enable this feature of Speed Booster Pack. Of course, that’s assuming it really does improve my page speed like Google suggests.

Since I’m getting what I paid for (actually, quite a lot more), I can’t complain.

Thank you so much for for your quick support on this and for your great plug-in. If I ever get my sites earning enough to pay for themselves, I will be happy to throw some of my profit your way.

    Hi,

I followed your instructions from your link above for my homepage link. I created a second button right below the first. The code that was generated was:

    [wpi_designer_button id=331]

Both buttons are now on this page and both do not have the correct colors.

BTW, the button looks great (correct colors) on the “New Button” page. So, not sure why it doesn’t have the right colors on pages I try on this site.

I did have a typo on the What Causes Tooth Enamel Loss page. I fixed the typo for the StyleId and now the shape is right for that page. But, the colors are still wrong on both.

Oh, I did use the color like you describe above.

And, when I go to the WPi Styles page that lists all of the created Styles, the Style is 328. And, the button is shown on that page and looks right (right shape and right colors).

    Hi,

I have three sites. They are all under the same multi-site WordPress. So, all share the same plug-ins.

I’ve been able to create buttons just fine on two of the sites. This site is the one that is having problems. I’ve tried two different pages (one page, one post), and both are not working.

    https://www.dazzlingwhiteteethhq.com/

    Uses this shortcut:

    [wpi_designer_button text=’Yes – Get It Now!’ link=’/internal/TomsofMaineToothpaste’ style_id=’328′ icon=’digg’ target=’_blank’]

    https://www.dazzlingwhiteteethhq.com/what-causes-tooth-enamel-loss/?preview_id=315&preview_nonce=0ec1faef0b&post_format=aside&preview=true

    Uses this shortcut:

    [wpi_designer_button text=’Yes – Get It Now!’ link=’/internal/CariFreeCTx4Gel1100′ style_id=’328′ icon=’digg’ target=’_blank’]

My home page seems to have the right button shape. But, no color.

The What Causes Tooth Enamel Loss post doesn’t have the right button shape and also doesn’t have color.

I used the WPI menu to create the short cuts. I believe I used the exact same method to successfully create buttons that do have the right shape and colors on pages on my other two sites.

    Thanks for your support.

    Jagger

    Hi,

I am also seeing this exact message (same line number). I’m on the latest WP-EDIT plug-in version (2.2), and on the latest WordPress (3.9.2).

FYI, I removed the error_log and refreshed my home page and one of these errors came out:

[03-Sep-2014 22:24:27 UTC] PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /x/y/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-edit/main.php on line 2663

Don’t know if it will help. But, here a link to the page that I refreshed to get the error:
