    Never mind…I found the culprit!

Initially when I upgraded to WP 3.6..I installed manually. Still not able to upload photos so I then used the upgrade button in the WP dashboard..still same problem. WP version 3.4 ( out of 3.6 and 3.5)is the only version that allows me to upload images again.

I wonder why this is? ALso I want to thank WPyogi andTara for taking the time to actually respond to y post and offer suggestions to help rectify my problem. If you have any idea why other versions of WP are not working for me don’t hesitate to share. Thanks again! Oh I’m really a novice at this. the things I know I learned from lookign it up online.;)

Ok, I have manually rolled it back to wordpress 3.4.2 the same as my other wordpress installation and now I am able to upload photos with no problem as 3.5 and 3.6 gave me an http errors when I tried to uplaod a photo.. Guess I’m stuck in the dark ages with 3.4 but at least I can upload again.

when I resinstalled wordpress. I manually deleted the wp admin folders and wp include folders….everything else was replaced by rewriting them.

yes,I have. After I upgraded to 3.6… I manually re-installed wordpress 3.5. . I downloaded it from the wordpress site and uploaded it through ftp. that didn’t work so I used another copy of wordpress that I use for my local site that I’m running on mamp. I also have a second wordpress site that I have connected to the main site formatted as mainsite.com/secondsite/ and I am able to upload images to the second site just fine but I haven’t upgraded that version of wordpress it’s still using 3.4 something I believe.

The funny thing is that there are no errors in the server log( the one I access through cpanel in my public html folder correct?) I also added a plugin to detect error in wordpress and that showed the error I posted initially about sunhosin but since my host removed it and rebuilt apache. there are absolutely no errors in either log.

i’ve changed permissions and nothing..Also, there is store uploads in this option in settings media. I think they did away with that option in wp 3.5. Now there is only the option to organize photos into month and year storage. My upload path is wp-content/uploads as it should be.

Idowngraded back to wp 3.5 even though the problem started a few weeks ago with this version ( it was working fine up to that point).. still receiving error so I upgraded back to 3.6 and the problem still exists.

I have the same problem. had it for 2 weeks now with no solution

Nothing works. I am so frustrated!

I have deactivated all plugins and switched themes before I made initial post.. problem existed with all plugins deactivated as well as twenty eleven theme. I updated to the latest version of wordpress hoping that might fix the problem but it hasn’t even though I had no problems with the previos wordpress version until a few weeks ago. I added the fixes that sometimes worked for others to htaccess with no luck. I am really at a loss. As nothing seems to work and believe me I combed through this support forum and tried everything( even sending the fixes that other hosts made to correct the issue to y hosting company and they haven’t worked for him. I gave him( the guy who runs my hosting company) admin access to my wordpress site and he has had no luck either. I’ve done all this before I made my initial post at the urging of my host.

Yes, I would like all the post on the child site to link back to the parent. I am just using the child site because I like the format of all the images on the frontpage.

well let’s see if I can explain this better. One template I’m using is a regular custom template. The second or child site template is an image based template. in the backend. it has an area for posts and also a second area for movies or television in which I would click on add new show and make my post.( it is not made by clicking on new post). after I make the post and add the featured image, it ( the image them appears on the frontpage. ( the front page is composed entirely of featured post images) and when I hover over the image the picture will show the time the show aires, and the stars. if I click on the image, it will then take you to the page in which I made the post (the post I made by clicking on “add new show” not “add new post”) it is this post that I would like to bypass and instead have it link to a different post on the main page. I have tried altering the permalink with no luck and there is no way to add a link to the featured image. I hope I have explained myself well enough.

May I message you and explain it better to you. I really don’t want to post my idea in the open.
