In reply to: Vault of the Gameverse – Video Game SiteForgot to mention this. I like that you have links to your blogs and that you keep your blogs current. There is nothing worse than someone that starts a blog, posts twice a week or more for some time and then loses interest and there are posts once every six months. Nice site. Good luck with your future development.

In reply to: Vault of the Gameverse – Video Game SiteHi,
I’m talking about the menu bar where you have “Highlights”, “Free to Play”, etc. Other options on the menu bar could be “About Me”, “My Blog” , etc. In my opinion, most everything you have on a website should be accessible from the Menu Bar directly or with a drop-down menu. I am seeing your gravatar under “Highlights”,etc. I don’t see your about page on the top right. I see it on the bottom right. The menu bar should have a “Home” option to be able to get back to gameversevault.com
On the second line of the menu bar I am seeing “news”, on the left, in a very small font that is only visible if you hover there. You can use that second line for “about” and “home”
Hope that helps.

In reply to: New to the Blogword and would love opinions!Hi,
I love your content, but feel that the top is a bit graphic heavy.
When you click on an option in the menu bar, you have to scroll to see the content of the page.
Wondering what others may think. I would probably eliminate the 5 pictures. No matter what I click on, the 5 pictures are still there. I assume as you add more content you would be adding more pictures.
Congratulations and good luck. Your house looks beautiful.
Hope this helps.

In reply to: Blogging while learning WPLOL, that is true. Grammatically, it can be Beginners or Beginner’s, with crusade as a verb or noun. I assumed Beginner’s because it is just one person – you(singular, not plural). Don’t you love grammar debates. Regardless, the content is great. Great idea.

In reply to: First website, would like feedback.Hi,
Observations :
Love your images.
It took a long time to load the page. Top of images are cut off.
Check the image sizes.
You have 2 “home” links.
“Gallery” link is “not found”
Keep plugging at it and it will be great.
Regards.

In reply to: need review!I love it ! Wish you were in my area. I need some flooring. I just found a few grammatical errors. Under “design tools”, “its” should be “it’s”. After customers, it should be “:” rather than “;”.
I think I would label “projects” “portfolio” and give a small description of each picture.
Hope that helps. Looks like you put a lot of work into this.

In reply to: Honest Insight of my Site!Hi,
Like you product. Slow the slider down (most people can’t read that fast and some do not like sliders).
In your product list, when you hover is generally says “view all posts filed under)
Under “Application” I saw a couple things
Under “application” change “have got” to “have”. Also, second paragraph should be 2 sentences.
“What you will get or have gotten” can be changed to “What you will get”
I would eliminate “it’s own” throughout or change it to “its own”
Its is the possessive form of it.
It’s is a contraction of it is or it has.Hope this helps.

In reply to: My new website needs feedbackI like the theme design. Spelling and grammar needs to be checked.
For example, the second line of the home page is :I’m a socially motivated og environmentally focused web astronaut with skills and exerience in the areas of…
There are 2 spelling errors “og” and “exerience”
There are other grammatical errors throughout the content.
Here’s an example of a grammar issue:
Here is an overview of what I’ve I’m trying to accomplish with this site:
Hope this helps.

In reply to: Review my ring store pleaseHi Kittens,
I agree with danefoster. Get rid of the bullets and the drop shadow.
Use the same color scheme throughout.
Remove the “Or’ from “Or browse…”
Good luck.

In reply to: Just Started My First Blog!I like it…simple, clean, interesting content. I am a Systems Analyst and just recently completed courses in WordPress, CSS, etc. I am also thinking about a personal blog, but I KNOW I would be too boring. Good Luck.

In reply to: Klimactic has a WordPress siteHi,
Congrats on developing your website.
The pages are all left-justified. I am not sure why that is the case.
Just my taste, but I think the colors are too dark and the font is a bit small. With the pages being left justified, all of the black empty space on the right makes the page look even smaller.
On the pages, there are many pictures and texts, but only the menu bar is clickable.
It is often recommended that a contact form is used for “Contact”. People that use servers like Yahoo and Gmail can not use a mailto:
If you want, instead of an aerial view picture, you can embed a Google map.
I think the portfolio pictures are too small. Although you don’t want them to be too large, they should be highlighted – perhaps a slideshow or a slider on the home page or a photo gallery plug-in.
Hope that helps.
Much success in your business.

In reply to: Vault of the Gameverse – Video Game SiteHere’s a little more information about RSS from wordpress.com
https://en.support.wordpress.com/?s=RSS
On gameversevault.com, I am seeing your FB link in the upper right and your About link at the bottom right.
Can you combine some of your items on the menu bar and make them a dropdown, so that you can move your About link and Blog link into the menu bar? Although I don’t like a menu bar with more than one line, does the theme you are using allow 2 lines ?
The first think I like to do when I go to a website is to see Who, What and Why. Who designed it, What it’s about and Why I should like it.

In reply to: Site is 5 months old. What do you think?Wow, what great information from user satrap.
I would just mention a few things: The background color is too dark – perhaps light oak ?
Also, I would eliminate “Downloads” and replace it with “Free Plans” and “Programs I Use”
Perhaps add a contact form and RSS.
Good luck in your business.
