Saved the options. Deleted 2.0.8. Reuploaded. Restored settings. Problem persists. Site is with same hosting company as my two other Virtue sites.

Thanks, that’s good to know. My fix: add a three-field contact form to the bottom of the affected pages. There are only a couple of such pages. I appreciate your earlier responses to my question.

I’m grateful for your response and a little shocked that such a sophisticated theme doesn’t allow for comments on pages. It’s time we rethought the post/page distinction. Traditionally, pages are for static content and posts for dynamic content, but we need to let go of that idea. https://www.jackmartinleith.com/timeline/ is a page because the dimensions of the timeline image made it necessary to go full width. Otherwise it would have been a post.

Hello Mike. The culprit was Shortcodes Ultimate, which would be a very useful plugin were it not for the constant issues and Vladimir’s apparent inability to fix them. It’s the end of the Shortcodes Ultimate road for me. Thanks very much for your help.

Thank you Ron (have I got that right?). Not sure if any action is needed on my part. Shortcodes Ultimate plugin has been going through a lot of changes in recent weeks. But it seems to be working OK on the three sites of mine that are using Virtue.

Vladimir, I’m truly grateful that you created this plugin. And … your attitude is unsympathetic and not at all customer friendly. Yes, I am a customer, even though your plugin is free. (Just as I’m a customer of Google and WordPress.) I would have liked to see a warning before installing the update. Please take this feedback on board.

A quick heads-up for anyone who’s considering using the Decode theme I mentioned in my previous post:

Some of the built-in shortcodes (e.g. Tabs, Accordion) don’t work; neither do some Ultimate Shortcodes (e.g. Tabs, although both Spoiler and Columns in Ultimate Shortcodes work OK).
