Crocoblock helped me create a template for displaying the posts and now all is working fine. Thanks for your help.

I have installed UM “version 2.9.1”. It is not relate to the Theme (currently using OceanWP and it’s always been fantastic). I have tried a temporary switch to Twenty Twenty Five theme but the problem remains. I am convinced it’s a bug.
I have just installed the “WP Rollback plugin” and rolled back to a random UM version 2.8.5 and guess what, the “UM profile photo” is now uploading effortlessly. So it’s abundantly clear the issue is bug related.
In the meantime, I’ll disable “automatic update” for the UM plugin and will check back every once in a while with version 2.91 or later if they support UM Profile Photo Upload. I would appreciate if you notified me if the bug has been fixed in version 2.91 or later.
How come it only happens for UM “Profile photo”? The “Photo” upload form field works just fine. Seems like a bug. What do you think?

2. I have checked for JS errors and seen NONE. This problem exists on Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge.
With all these suggestions implemented, the UM Profile photo doesn’t upload and instead remains stuck displaying “Processing…..”

These are other issues you also need to work on to make the app work better:
– Notification sound: works once in a while. Mostly you’ll hear the new message notification sound when you click on a particular message or thread. Otherwise, you won’t hear it at all. In fact, if you happen to open another tab, window or browser, now you won’t get the notification sound at all.
– New message: Unless you manually refresh the page, you won’t be notified of new chat messages unless it’s from the person you are currently chatting with. In fact you might think no one else is sending you chat messages until you refresh the page manually (then you’ll hear the notification sound once and when you check you see that 10-15 people had sent you messages many minutes ago but you weren’t notified).
– Refresh time: Better messages take unusually long to refresh. The chat threads are not refreshed automatically despite setting them and the site to refresh in 1 minute (from the settings).
on our site, the plugin is used to chat and share files only. We have been seeing this problem ever since we started using it. It’s been integrated with Ultimate Member Plugin (could this be the issue? I don’t think because UM itself is loading pretty fast and working okay). Just channel these issues to the developers to fix. Stop saying it’s working alright and that the issue is with our site. The problem is with the BM plugin. We are also using crisp and its working perfectly well.Regards

Thanks for the feedback. Will try checking the issue with query monitor plugin. However, while I do that, you guys should also consider editing the code so that Better Messages is much lighter and loads faster. It takes quite some minutes to load messages while you try jumping from one thread to the next. Please work on that….
Really love your plugin, especially because it integrates with Ultimate Member. Keep improving it!!
