In reply to: [Bookvault] woocommerce order not automatically going to bookvaultHi Suong, thank you for the update. My problem is still linking—I do the manual ‘Resend order to Bookvault’ with the title they manually linked for me, and over the last month it’s become habit and not too laborious. However, a subsequent title remains unlinked.
Interesting clue: I will deactivate and reactivate other plug-ins to see what difference it makes. They had suggested an image caching one could have been a conflict (it was installed but unused), so I’ve deactivated and deleted that, but there’s no change. I’ll carry on with other plug-ins to experiment.
I realize they have spent days on this but then so have users … and it’s not really free for them since we do pay to get each title listed. We’re the ones who are doing it for free—and I’m happy to help them if it winds up ultimately helping others.
Thank you again for sharing this info.

In reply to: [Bookvault] woocommerce order not automatically going to bookvaultHi Suong, their IT head accessed our site and linked the title, so that part is now fixed. He also added the ReST API and webhook. Good news at last! However, now I have exactly the bug that you do. I have my first order and the customer has been charged, but it doesn’t show up at Bookvault. But at least that’s still progress!

In reply to: [Bookvault] woocommerce order not automatically going to bookvaultI have finally heard back from someone at Bookvault. Apparently, there should be a webhook and an API (mine has neither). My fake ones probably didn’t work because they aren’t what their system expects. Hopefully they can advise me what should be in there.

In reply to: [Bookvault] woocommerce order not automatically going to bookvaultSuong, are you on the latest WordPress? I am, and I wonder if that might be an issue since they have only tested to v. 6.3.2.
I also spotted this in the Woocommerce advanced settings: ‘1 incompatible plugin detected (Bookvault)’.
I manually created a ReST API, a sample webhook, and a legacy API inside the advanced settings’ menus but to no avail.
I have talked to one friend of mine who is knowledgeable about software and had tried this plug-in, and he suspects the bug is on Bookvault’s end.Apologies for all the messages, not sure what to do while we wait for an answer.

In reply to: [Bookvault] woocommerce order not automatically going to bookvaultYou’re welcome, happy to at least advance something while we await our respective shops’ repairs!
It has been three days since I heard from them—when was your last contact with them? I don’t want to push them too much if they are busy but at the same time I don’t want my support ticket vanishing down their inbox.

In reply to: [Bookvault] woocommerce order not automatically going to bookvaultI haven’t even seen a proof yet, unfortunately.
What program did you use to generate your PDF? If the letterspacing of the font in the book is the same, but it’s a different font, then that points to an font-embedding issue.
I wish I could show you an example of what the substitute font looks like, but it seems no one has posted one online in the last 30 years … or the search engines with image searches are all terrible.
One test you can try is to print a page of your PDF from another computer and printer, and see what comes out.

In reply to: [Bookvault] woocommerce order not automatically going to bookvaultSuong, how is your situation going? I have given Bookvault admin access to my shop, waiting to hear back from them.

In reply to: [Bookvault] woocommerce order not automatically going to bookvaultThank you, that’s very helpful! I’d be happy to give Bookvault access if they need it. I’ll read up what the Webhook is and see if I can do more troubleshooting.

In reply to: [Bookvault] woocommerce order not automatically going to bookvaultI am having a similar issue, adding my name to this thread in the hope we can both get it resolved.
Excellent, thank you! That solved it!

In reply to: [Understrap] Link to Bootstrap off-site?Thank you for your comprehensive reply and thank you again for a great theme. I think it’s a little beyond my knowledge. Sadly I can’t find any techs here who know how to optimize hosting—been looking for two years!

In reply to: [Admin Columns] Parse errorThank you, Stefan, I completely understand. It’s a real mystery since, to my knowledge, we’ve not had your plug-in on there. I tried uploading it just to see if it would make a difference but it hasn’t. I was able to see a ‘Delete Cache’ in the top bar since I last messaged you but that didn’t do anything; I presume it wasn’t for the server itself but for one of the plug-ins (I think W3 Cache).
The guy hosting the site has disappeared because of a COVID-19 lockdown in his country but I’ll ask around to see if anyone knows how to do this.

In reply to: [Admin Columns] Parse errorHi Stefan, thank you. I don’t know how to do that unfortunately. I know how to clear a WordPress cache but that requires the dashboard. I have Telnet access. Is there a command I can type into that to clear a server cache? I believe it’s Nginx. (I’m not a tech person, so my expertise is extremely limited.)

I haven’t looked into those since they’re not features I tend to use—but I know v. 2 broke my dashboard completely so anything that allows me to access it as I used to gets my nod.
