In TwentyTen just the horizontal menu expands. The vertical one (widget) lists all items at once.

I have the same issue here and unfortunately your advice couldn’t fix it. I’m running WP3.0.1 in German.

I changed the field label text in the MailChimp list setup to “Email”, but the WP widget still displays the English default “Email Address”.

Further recommendations would be highly apprecciated, since the Englisch label on a German site looks like a spelling mistake ??

I’m missing that too. Until there’s an elegant solution for multiple content areas, you colud try Pods. It’s a nice approach!

if you look at the source of the site, you see that the friends section is most likely hand coded. src="https://static.littlewhitelies.co.uk/images/friends/barbican.png"
At least they didn’t know any plugin for that. (And me neither, sorry…)
