Any info on this. The topics on embedding video requires the url for the video which I cannot find through Gallery 2. I have the Gallery url link but it is not a link directly to the file. Anyone using Gallery and Quicktime video.

I am having the same problem but I never met your sister.

The email list error seems to have disappeared and tried to reactivate plugins but am getting a ′fatal error′ when I activate the sidebar widget plugin.

I used myphpadmin and searched for one of the lost pages and did find them in wp_posts, but they have a post type of post instead of page. Can I just change this in myphpadmin?

I am studying importing a the last backup I have. Should I delete my current file and start fresh and then import my last good backup which is on WP 2.1.

Is there a way to preserve the posts I have made since the last backup and view them offline even if I loose all the formatting.

I have a backup of the old site. In fact I just renamed my the blog folder so everything is still on the server and I also did a backup using wp-backup. However when I renamed the old blog back to ′blog′ it forced me to upgrade the database. I am thinking I need to delete the database and then reinstall 2.2. clean and install old blog.

I upgraded from 2.1.

I have tried disabling the plugin but I still get the errors when I edit old posts. Is there a way to remove the reference to the table. It sounds like the plugin did not create the table when after I upgraded.

I have also noticed that not only have I lost my pages but when I create new pages now they do not appear in the header using the K2 theme. Only the blog link appears. I tried switching to the default theme then I get no page links.

I have the same issue and S and R pluging does not do it for me. For one thing it is all in German. I tried just doing a search without replace and didn’t get any hits.

I am moving my images to a Gallery 2 system and need to change the photo links in the posts.

Any other suggestions?

I am having the same problem. The download site says it is now compatible with widget, but it does not show up in my widget screen, although the plugin activates and I can create polls.

Just trying out your theme and had some comments:

Ads- there doesn’t seem to be a way to place more than one ad nor a way to place an ad on the home page.

I am using Adhesive for a ‘welcome’ post on my home page. Your theme inserts the word ‘Important’ in front of this post. How can I edit/delete that.

Wow, people replied. I though this would be ignored when I find similar threads. Thanks for the replies. I have haven’t tried anything yet, but let me clarify something.

I do *not* want posts to always be listed oldest first- at least not on the home page. I would like to give the viewer to have the option to view in this order somehow.

Take the person who is following my story but doesn’t visit for several weeks. The person returns and (now) goes to the most recent post. You have to scroll backwards to read the story of how events unfolded. Also since you already know the ending there is less motivation to scroll backwars always seeing the ending first. This alway bothered me about blogs b/c most blogs I read are just casual interest topics; they are not something like a news site I visit everyday.

I would like to give the reader the ability to jump to a post (like a chapter in a book) and then start reading the story in chron order.
