In reply to: [ShopWP] Connection Error V2.2.3 Must contain only numbers and lettersSorry, this was my mistake. No such error is occurring now.
Hi Pablo,
Thanks for your reply.
Just so I do not leave the wrong impression on here for other readers. I would like to say that I have looked at many WP plugins along these lines. Worona really does work as it is described, you really can set up push notifications and really can automate those notifications using a very simple and free 3rd party solution.
Also the Worona chaps really do give you support. Worona is by far the best solution I have found for a non coder to have a crack at building an app.
Just thought I better make this clear despite having my particular issue.
Cheers
Chris jThanks for your e-mail Pablo,
However,I have done a bit more research now.
It is now my firm view that the Worona App is not compliant with Apple Guidelines. If E-mail links can be displayed within an App, they should 100% open the device mail client or be prevented from causing any onClick event.
Also by allowing the Worona App to deal with hyperlinks in the way that it does and not launching a proper fully functional Browser app on the device, you are creating a poor if not dangerous user experience. The Worona app is not a fully functional browser app and clearly lacks the most basic navigation functions as well as security. It is great at displaying a list of posts and then allowing the user to read those posts. But it is clear in the Apple Guidelines that this is where the function should stop. It should launch a proper browser app if a hyperlink is clicked.
At best a post author may have links to resources that are not responsive and that will not display correctly with the Worona app. This alone is out side the Apple guidelines.
It would be my view that you need to make the hyperlinks behave correctly or amend the Worona app to become a fully functional browser with all that that entails. In any event you defiantly need to rectify the mailto: issue.
You still have not explained why it is only in the actual blog pages that the hyperlink behaviour is not correct. Why do the e-mail links work properly once you have navigated away from the initial Post page to any other webpage that is not in the blog? It would suggest that there is something wrong with the way the data is being handled by the app or the Plugin at the WP end.
Anyway very disappointed at this stage and we have wasted our money on you Push Notification extension as we do not feel able to deploy your app in its current state. Please let me know if address the issue. I would be slightly less disappointed if you refunded our money.
