Why would anyone want to integrate anything useful with Shopp?
Every “update” they put out breaks the sites built with it – and then they leave you twisting in the wind – or try to extort $500 from you to repair the site their scamware broke.
I’ve never been sorrier about a software purchase than trying to deal with Shopp – and their scam of “support”.
The best thing to do with Shopp is to dump it.
The junkware doesn’t work out of the box. *IF* you get it working, their next “update” is certain to break it. And, then the jerk-you-around-and-bilk-you games begin.
They’ll repair your site their junkware broke – for a contract fee of $500 or more.
Developers everywhere HATE Shopp. I built several sites around it – and BOY was I sorry…
Oh, yes, you can PURCHASE the “better” service – and you STILL wait.
And, they also offer to sell you “contract services” – for many hundreds of dollars to “privately” fix the site their vandalizing “upgrade” broke.
This is like the Mafia – come around periodically and break-up your store, and then charge “protection” to fix it.
Shopp BLOWS – but not nearly as bad as their horrible “support”.
Do *anything* – even manual PayPal buttons – before you get stuck with this lousy junkware.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] [BUG] Disk Enhanced cache doesn't work in 0.9.2.4How is this issue marked [resolved] ??
This is still happening on fresh installs.
It appears Page Cache URL rewriting is not working. If using apache, verify that the server configuration allows .htaccess or if using nginx verify all configuration files are included in the configuration.
Fresh install on WP 3.4.1

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] W3TC killed my siteI cannot retrieve the exact error messages without going through the process of killing the site again – and having to restore from the backup all over again. That, I’m not willing to do to *maybe* get help to *maybe* make the plugin work. The fact is I installed the plugin per instructions. I followed instructions the plugin gave during the install.
The site was in fact KILLED. This thing caused so much havoc I had to restore the root directory to get the site back up.
Sorry the plugin is a site-killer. Being defensive about it doesn’t change the fact.
I will add the information that I’m on WP 3.4.1 (most current) with the TwentyTen theme version 1.3 installed. Maybe that’s helpful to someone tinkering with the plugin code.
I wish someone had warned me this is a site-killer before I tried it – cost me an hour of time – and luckily not more because I had good backups.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] W3TC killed my siteTHIS PLUGIN IS A SITE-KILLER!
First, it wouldn’t install. <fatal error>
Demanded I add a line to my config file and re-attempt.
I did that, as directed.
KILLED THE SITE – “The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.”
I removed the line from the config file. SITE STILL DEAD
Now, I’m trying to restore from a backup from yesterday.
DOH! <hits forehead with hand>
pkwooster THANK YOU for pointing me to the right place!!!
Issue RESOLVED.
Love the WP community!
