In reply to: Fatal database-errorPoor you, you are going to get stupid questions :o) (I’m pretty clueless).
Where is the php.ini file located? I can’t find it :o/

In reply to: Fatal database-errorThanks for replying!
What does that do, if the problem is resources allocated by the server?

In reply to: Database problemsI forgot to mention that everything is entered into the database, even if I get whitescreened.

In reply to: Comments Pings and TrackbacksI think it’s pretty random, macbrink, sometimes they get through, sometimes they don’t. From wordpress.com blogs they hardly ever get through.

In reply to: Comments Pings and TrackbacksI have no clue – and I am on 2.1 by the way.
I think the only ones able to figure this thing out are the WordPress people. Unfortunately they haven’t so far.

In reply to: Comments Pings and TrackbacksThats what happens to me too, I think, macbrick. I’m looking forward to hear what you figure out.

In reply to: Comments Pings and TrackbacksWell, that is impossible for us to find out. Someone from WordPress needs to figure out what the problem is.

In reply to: Comments Pings and TrackbacksI have tried to adress this issue too. No answer from WordPress or from Akismet.

In reply to: No numbered lists button in 2.1?That happend to me, and it turned out that it was the Adblock in Firefox which blocked them out. I allowed the whole site, and problem solved.

In reply to: Trackback issuesAnd I have posted a question to Akismet about it. In the hope that they might reply, to say whether or not this is an Akismet issue.

In reply to: Trackback issuesI am using 2.1, bit the problem existed before that.

In reply to: Anyone know of a good WordPress Forum Site?Even though this is indeed volounteer work, it should be allowed to comment that it is sometimes difficult to get replies to questions here. Some times it is fast, some times there are no replies. I gues that is for the most part due to conincidence – someone spost something, and can offer a quick reply/fix. Or not, as the case may be, and then there are no replies.
For instance, I have postet a topic about issues regarding trackback, which I think is a fairly general problem (trackbacks are part of what makes bloggig a community), and so far no replies. I know of other bloggers who have adressed this before too.

I consider this a problem WordPress should be concerned about. And I have a hunch it has to do with Akismet, but there is no way for me to know that. But here, when you mention Akismet, you are told to query Akismet. Who do not reply to anything either.

Since Akismet is delivered with core WordPress, I think WordPress and Akismet should try to figure out together whether there are issues creating problems.
WordPress is not accepting e-mails about such issues they say, and refer you to this page. Where you may or may not get a reply. And it is frustrating when for intance trackbacks don’t work for months, and nobody is doing anything (at least so it seems) to solve the problem.
That does not mean that the users are ungrateful og being difficult, that means that we have identified a problem, in this case a general problem, and noone seems to be doing anything about them.

In reply to: Trackback issuesSince WordPress does not accept support related questions on e-mail, I will have to bring this up again here in the support page.
The only ones, I think, that can figure this problem out, is wordpress. I sure can’t.
