Version 1.0.1 (just released) works with more web hosts (including BlueHost, DreamHost, HostGator, and GoDaddy). This plugin will now work with any web host that recognizes either a php5.ini or php.ini file.

I’m sorry it didn’t work for you. It’s not going to work with all hosting companies, but it will work with about 90% of them. I will have to update the description for this plugin to reflect that.

When you activated the plugin, did you get a notification message that said that it worked, or that it did not work? And if it worked, which updates did it specify? (I can research the issue best if you copy the message and paste it here.)

If you would please tell me your hosting provider, I will research them and try to make a compatible fix to accommodate their servers.

Hyper Cache plugin works just fine with EDD, even on Multisite, if you add these URIs to the Hyper Cache Options -> Filters section -> “URI to reject“:

Variation: If you change the default pages for options 2, 3, and 4 in “Downloads -> Settings -> General“, then edit the URIs above to reflect that.

Thank you for the details. I just looked at what he did (he changes the ‘post__not_in’ value.) Hide Download seems like a very useful plugin. I’m going to work on on a fix to make this compatible ASAP.

That is strange. The plugin does function as in your picture #2. I have never seen it function as in your 1st picture. The plugin uses 'post__not_in' in the query in order to exclude the current product from the Related Downloads.

It may be that you have a filter on the page that is modifying the query. What other plugins are active?

To exclude them, please put a checkmark in the option to “Disable Related Downloads From Being Added to Content“.

Well, no because my intention was to add minimalistic Reviews capability to the QBW plugin. Its intended for people who may not even know how to use shortcodes, so its intended to just work automatically. I took from WP Customer Reviews the basic review capability, but without the extra options for having Reviews on products, and the extra shortcode.

My modifications focus on adding microdata to the home page for businesses, rather than to individual product pages. I only include capability for 1 set of reviews, which are for the business. The extra functionality from WP Customer Reviews has to do with pulling Reviews from different posts or pages, which doesn’t apply to QBW plugin. If what you need is a stand-alone Reviews plugin, WP Customer Reviews is excellent.

Apologies for the delay. This feature is currently not supported. It’s a good idea and will be considered for the next update. Now, you could use the “filter by tag” option instead of “by category”, and use tags to group together related downloads the way you want them. For example, don’t “tag” that category that you want to exclude. Hope this helps.

1. Deactivating the Hyper Cache plugin fixed the issue on the 1st site. (Disabling Ajax didn’t fix it).

2. On the 2nd site, I upgrade to EDD 1.8.1, and now it works fine, even with Hyper Cache.

The main difference between the 2 is that the 1st site runs WordPress Multisite, while the 2nd site is a regular single WP installation. So, it seems there is no problem with EDD 1.8.1 on regular WP. Thanks again.

Same problem, settings page does not update. I tested with a fresh install, WP 3.6.1, default Twenty Thirteen theme, no plugins.

Note: you will probably notice a bug on the staff page, in which the menu disappears on the staff page if you are using a custom menu. This has been fixed in the latest update which is being published right now and should be available within 30 minutes.

After more testing, I found an issue that may cause a conflict with other plugins or themes that load custom javascript. Apologies. I fixed it, and will publish the updated version within the next 24 hours.

Do you mean that edited the code of the plugin to remove the display of images? I’m not sure what you mean, but you can always deactivate and uninstall the plugin completely, then reinstall it fresh. This will give you the default display with the images.
