Okay, so the issue was unrelated to this plugin, it was just an effect of a WordPress config issue on my part, namely this one: https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/a/190758
General and blog address URLs mismatched in my install with one excluding the “www” part, which caused all kinds of issues that I didn’t realize. One of these included the admin bar not being shown on the front page of the site.
Definitely an edge case, writing it up here for posterity.

In reply to: [BeerXML Shortcode] Approval of translation?Hi @eppen! GTE’s for Swedish are looking at the translated strings now. We are not able to approve many of your translations due to grammar and spelling errors, as well as for the fact that quite a few strings just seem to be copied straight from Swedish. If you have a minute, please sign up for WordPress Slack account and ping me there (@isaackeyet) and I’ll give you some pointers for the future.

In reply to: [Code Snippet Library] Great for sharing CSS/HTML code snippetsI see, the line-height thing sounds gnarly. Since the font size _is_ declared though, it sounds like it would be semantic to just declare a line-height as well. Otherwise if you don’t declare either and let the physical height of the elements be inherited from the parent elmenet’s line height in pixels that would probably be the best way to make sure it never breaks… I just used the default code style for now, might make it work better with the theme once I’ve launched a redesign. The post is here.
