Hi Danny, thanks for getting back to me on this.

(I’m using a child theme, and I think I added that code in order to just use the placeholder text within the entry fields, and not have both a field label and placeholder.)

I wanted those who sign up to the mailing list to be automatically added to all groups… However as it was, they weren’t being added to ANY groups. Turns out what I did has solved the issue, which was to put in the group checkboxes, pre-filled, and then hide them with CSS, thereby forcing a signup to all groups (they of course have the option to change their preferences after that point).

Ah ha! Found the solution here:

This line was being added after every RSS item by the Yoast SEO plugin.

I was able to remove this by going to: /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpseo_rss and deleting what is being added after each item.

Looking at the feed, it’s being inserted into the <description> tag:

Found the issue, the ‘https://&#8217; is required in the link address, thought I had put that in there already.
