I don’t see turn off comments in the Settings->Discussion section

thanks that worked, just one more thing would like to not show the blog or comment on all pages

A server upgrade most likely means they were moving all the sites to a new server, since you never did they assumed you did. they shut down the old server and now your site is no longer. sounds like you need to contact your hosting to see if they still have a copy of your files or just start over. Hope you made a backup.

I was able to figure it out with your help, I didn’t have to edit any PHP yet, when I get my site working I will deal with the PHP editing

So I my need to edit a PHP file? Was hoping to leaving the PHP editing till I get the site working.

Thanks, I was able to edit and add a new category, but I am unable to see the new category
