Or maybe it didn’t create the /10 subfolder? Shouldn’t that happen automatically when I select save by year/month? Sorry for all the talking to myself here, I’m sure it is not proper ettiquette.

Now I notice that the Unable message has a different path than the Not Found message:

Unable to create directory /home/virtual/site78/fst/var/www/html/wp-content/images/2006/10. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    Not Found

The requested URL /var/www/html/wp-content/images/2006/chocolatedetail22.jpg was not found on this server.

Have my files gotten rearranged or fouled up somehow?

even when I manually upload the jpg, and then hit view image on the website, I get this error:

    Not Found

The requested URL /var/www/html/wp-content/images/2006/chocolatedetail22.jpg was not found on this server.

I’ve been chmodding every darn file, the date file as you suggest, home, ironfishtradin, wp-content, html, var, www, etc. Nothing working. BTW, am I compromising security by changing all these file permissions on the parent files? Thanks, pulling out my hair.

Since I posted in the Support Forum, I’ve now gotten this far:

Unable to create directory /home/virtual/site78/fst/var/www/html/wp-content/images/2006/10. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
    Back to Image Uploading

I created a folder called images in wp-content, and I changed the permissions of wp-content and images folders to 777. Still no dice.

Not sure what you mean by

“This will also depend on, if your blog is on the root or in a folder.. change that accordingly.. then hit the Update Options button..”

    change what to what?
