Anyone!Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Installing WP to a subdomain or a directory?I want to add that right now I just want to install the blog to domain.com/blog and start working on it.
So I need only installation advice about these subdomanins and directories.I have understod that giving the static front page a completely diffrent look needs someone who has the skills to do it. I don’t have those so I give it to someone ese to do.
Thanx!!
I appriciate your help and now it’s time to get some work done.
Thank you!!!
I see.
I think I need a professional to do this.
I heard that you can do the static front pga in straight HTML as well
but I guess that’s what you are talking about here. Can I change and manage the static front page even if it’s straight HTML on the dashborad as well?
Would the log in to the static front page be mydomain.com/wp-admin in that case?
And mydomain.com/blog/wp-admin to the WordPress blog area?Thank you.
Hi macmanx!
Thank you for your reply, I truely appriaciate.
Yes they seem to be the answeres to my questions but
also quite advanced techniques. Let see if I manage to do this.I see that the sidebars appears on both sites but wondering if I can change the content on the sidebars so both mydomain.com and mydomain.com/blog have they own looking sidebars?
Any idea?Thank you

In reply to: Updating plug-ins with one-click updaterHi
I installed the Firefox add-on which was required from the wordpress dashboard must be called one-click-plug-in-updater for Firefox.
The problem is that when I go to my admin area and try to update the plug-ins with the one-click-plug-in-updater so I end up to the 404 page saying that I’m lost. ??
It seems that the plug in is not working.
What is the easiest way to update the plug ins?
Do I need to do something with FTP server?
Thank you.
