If characters are returned as question marks ? it’s because the database table character set is not configured to support UTF8 characters and may be resolved by changing the character set for each table in your database to UTF-8.
You may reach out to your hosting provider to assist with this server-side task. It’s also good practice to create a full backup of your database before making any changes.
I hope this helps ??

In reply to: [CMB2] Elementor IntegrationThanks for the reply….
Keeping the fingers crossed for that 3rd party addon then ??
Fully agree…. It’s a common issue between most backup/migration plugins available that they do not warn you beforehand that your backup size exceeds their “free” version’s limit to restore. So yes at the end of the day it does behave like Ransom Ware.
In my personal opinion, plugins that could hold you to ransom like this should be banned on www.remarpro.com.

Absolutely, think it’s an awesome intelligent plugin.
Thanks and No Hurry, in the same boat.
If you could at have a look at WPJM’s statuses for triggers that’d be awesome, like you said a bit tricky for most devs and my experience level isn’t close to WP dev status… yet.
Thanks for the awesome reply, will work through the advice and might even, if necessary, try my hand at using the boilerplate to do an extension for WPJM.
Will pass back the solution if I manage to solve it.
Thanks again Kuba, Absolutely awesome support.
LOL… you’re fast…
I was busy putting together my previous response and on submission there’s your replies and fix.
That’s awesome, thanks!!!
I downloaded the notification signature extension from GitHub and installed that. That’s working successfully so it seems like the plugin and the extension on the WordPress repository needs to be updated.
Or is the signature extension meant for being an accompaniment for the notification bbpress extension?

In reply to: [WP Job Manager] Edit “Location” field on job submit form@fcgjr If you only want to remove or change the placeholder text then you can do this by editing the translation files for WP Job Manager without having to add a filter or use a plugin.
Download & install “poedit”, open the primary translation file “wp-job-manager.pot” located in wproot/wp-content/plugins/wp-job-manager/languages/wp-job-manager.pot and create a new translation file for the same language as your wordpress installation. Find the string “e.g. London” and add a translation string, “e.g. Your Town” OR just add a single space ” “, and save as wp-job-manager-(your language string).po, e.g. “wp-job-manager-en_US.po”. Compile the *.po file to a *.mo, e.g. “”wp-job-manager-en_US.mo”.
Upload your *.po & *.mo translation files to wproot/wp-content/languages/plugins/
Whenever the job posting form is loaded the string “e.g. London” will be replaced with the string you defined in the translation files.
If you need more than just the text strings changed then follow the methods suggested by Adam.

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Data backup prison!!!!This is a great migration/backup tool, period.
If your backup size is too large consider when you export to select not to add your media library, which will probably reduce your export size within the allowed limit.
I also think that it would be a great addition if a future version of this plugin warns you about needing to upgrade if your export is larger than the limited file size of the free version before you get to the point where you have to import and discover you can’t without upgrading.
