In reply to: [Plugin: Smmoth Slider] Does not work after upgradeThanks for sharing your experience. We had notified users about this issue after releasing the upgrade. Thanks for highlighting the issue of forum link on admin page, we will update that in next release.
Here is the updated forum link for smooth slider
https://clickonf5.com/smooth-sliderThe post still needs to be added to Smooth Slider. It will pull the category specific posts, added to Smooth Slider.
I am currently working on the feature to add a template tag/shortcode to pull the posts directly from category in Smooth slider, so that they do not need to be actually added to Smooth Slider.
(Note: Posts can be added to Smooth Slider from Edit Post/Page panel)
I hope this was your question. Thanks for writing.

In reply to: [Smooth Slider] [Plugin: Smooth Slider] Specific imagesHi BloggerSavvy,
Smooth Slider 2.3.2 is having the feature which exactly suits your need. Now you just need to upload the image to “Media Library” and you can add that image to the slider. If you want to put some title and description as well, just get the details for that image in media library by clicking “Show” button and add title and description over there. Believe me, now you can just add slide from media library without writing any post.
So go ahead and install Smooth Slider 2.3.2 and you don’t need to add image to any post. You can just add that from “Media Library” only.

In reply to: [Smooth Slider] [Plugin: Smooth Slider] Loading on static home pageHi,
We can definitely help with that.
The page template file which you are using for static home page, you will have to add the Smooth Slider template code over there.
Template Code:
<?php if ( function_exists( ‘get_smooth_slider’ ) ) {
get_smooth_slider(); }
?>If you want to have Smooth Slider in the content area of particular page, You can use Smooth Slider shortcode “[smoothslider]” within the content area of your static page. Shortcode support is available in the latest version of Smooth Slider i.e. V2.3.2

In reply to: [Smooth Slider] Get rid of Smooth Slider LinkAs we are providing this plugin for free to the WordPress community and we don’t have plan to sell any premium version in near future. Our only motto is to let others know about this plugin and for that we have added a link for Smooth Slider. We would really appreciate if you keep this link on your site.
If you still want to get rid of link, just use CSS “display:none” for that particular class.

In reply to: [Smooth Slider] Smooth SliderWe tested Smooth Slider on 3 – 4 different servers and it is running fine on all of them. Some users are reporting issue at the time of upgrade, but we have fixed that as well in 2.3.2, but still there is some issue with some servers for database communication. In that case, one can deactivate and re-activate the plugin from plugin admin panel.
In case it still doesn’t work, Just deactivate and delete the plugin from plugin admin panel and re-install it. Once it will install properly on your server, you will not face any issue.
Please share more information like whether you installed SS for the first time or upgraded to new version. So that I can help you with the installation.
