In reply to: WP e-Commerce shipping problem“emails get through the chinks”? LOL.
I can post all the emails (mostly one-way unanswered emails, from me), all the instinct.nz forum posts, and www.remarpro.com forum posts from the entire 2-week exchange if you want. Or would that be unfair?
Even my threats of revoking the $80 payment with PayPal went unanswered. Only the post here at WP forum worked.
I don’t think for a second you don’t love what you do, mufasa. But how would you react if you paid someone EIGHTY DOLLARS for something and had to chase them all over the internet to get a response, and then when you got one it was piss-poor? That’s sad and hurtful.
Again, I think the software is great, but support and value-for-money are awful.

In reply to: WP e-Commerce shipping problemAnyway, look for the shipping amount in the querystring (the stuff after the question mark) on the page that lands at PayPal. Should be something like …&shipping=5.33…
This can help you debug. If that doesn’t work, try setting shipping in PayPal, and forget shipping in the plugin.

In reply to: WP e-Commerce shipping problemAgree with lyle – the authors do not respond to requests, PAID or OTHERWISE.
Sorry for the caps.
I bought an $80 token, and waited for a response for a few days. None came. So I started emailing them. No dice.
Two weeks later I managed to get their attention by posting here on WP forums (search my profile for links) and raising my voice. The public exposure compelled them to contact me.
The help that resulted from that was pathetic, REALLY poor.
I love the software, but think the authors lie somewhere between “uncaring” and “outright jerks”.

In reply to: Not accepting password [Plugin: Stats]This is probably a very good traffic package. Unfortunately it’s got a serious bug: for many it won’t accept their WordPress API key.

See more there. If anyone can shed some light on this, me (and others) are all ears.

In reply to: Wp – shop (e-commerce)Ok, new day, new ideas.
I did a fresh install of WP 2.1, and a fresh install into that of e-commerce 3.2 (not the newest beta like I was using). Enter Details worked!
Then I popped in a few themes from my original install. Enter Details worked!
Then I had the new install use the old install’s database (via wp_config.php). Failed!
Take from that what you will.
So my solution is to use the new install, re-input my products/categories/brands, and go from there, keeping an eye on Enter Details at every step.
