K, thanks. If you have a feature request list going, I’d HIGHLY recommend adding the ability to select either excerpts or full text via the shortcode. Seems like a feature that others would enjoy as well.

I have two separate pages; home page and testimonials page. I want excerpts to show on the home page and full testimonials to show up on the testimonials page. Right now, it shows excerpts on both pages because I have the checkbox “Use excerpts in testimonial display” checked.

Is there an option in the shortcode for excerpt or full text, or is it one or the other based on the “Use excerpts in testimonial display” checkbox?

Must be a wpengine issue. I disabled both caches and cleared them, and have refreshed the browser for an hour now and it still shows the same testimonial.

The issue was in the wp_options table of our database. We had to change the user_roles line to read ‘user_roles’ instead of ‘wp_databasenameuser_roles’ (no quotes). Changing this made the other roles appear in the Role section of the Edit User page.

Yeah, the admin role has all levels checked under Capabilities. Would it help if I emailed the login info?

The roles are there under Role Manager but they don’t show up under ‘Role’ in the Edit User page. Why is this happening?

This same thing is happening to me when I moved my site to WP Engine. I had to deactivate the plugin in order to login to the admin dashboard. What can I do to resolve this issue?

The Quote Rotator plugin does this but it doesn’t have the shortcode option to display the list of testimonials on a page.

I guess I’ll have to use two plugins for this functionality until one plugin developer adds the missing feature.

Strongly consider adding this feature, as I’m confident your missing out on a lot of downloads without it.

I added the above code and it kept giving me a glitch where the first quote would work fine but the second one would show and then quickly skip to the next one. Great idea though! I hadn’t thought of being a helpful feature until I saw this support thread.

You could simply add something like this to your styles.css file:

#quoteauthor {
	float: right;
	margin-top: 25px;
}

Just change the margin number if you want it closer or further away.
