Ok..one more addition – =)
If I delete the original comment, and place a new one, I can see the entire comment through dashboard>comments, but I still get the error on the comments page.

Can anyone help?

I reuploaded the original functions.php file, deleted the original comment and the comment box appeared. but as soon as I commented in it, the same function error appeared.

He did….and when I click on his name it shows his email and website..but no IP….sorry, am I missing it?

I have his email address….not sure if I can find his IP?
