In reply to: 2.3.2 stopped letting me add categorieslots of people have this problem – no decent answers yet. I for one would like it resolved, since my categories are in the db, but I cannot add new ones, and all my posts are now uncategorized.

In reply to: Upgrade caused loss of CategoriesThis is what I see when i try to convert cats to tags:
Convert Categories to Tags
You have no categories to convert!

In reply to: Upgrade caused loss of CategoriesHas anyone solved this yet? You can’t import categories to tags if you don’t have any, or at least WP thinks there aren’t any, even though they exist in wp_terms.
Anyway everything works fine, but cannot add categories. When I edit an existing post, all categories are listed in the right pane, but when I save – the post remains uncategorized. This is a real issue that must be resolved. There must be 5 threads on this and none of the proposed solutions work…

In reply to: Categories Missing after upgrade to latestI think it was 2.3.1 – the most recent prior to the most recent….And yes, Is suspect it was one time pre 2.2

In reply to: Categories Missing after upgrade to latestCategories are listed in wp_terms. My db backup is a couple months old – I was a bit squirrelly with this upgrade, since I’ve never had issues like this with wp in the past. oh well, doesn’t explain the mysterious disappearing act however.

In reply to: permalinks don’t workErrors happen on both installations – one a 2.02 – one a wpmu – different domains – same host. The error is basically a error page with a link to where the file resides. Try the trackback link on this page, which is wpmu, but same thing is happening on the 2.02 site:
