To those who are still having problems, I hope I might be able to help. TOP stopped working for me, too, on 4/27, and I followed the posts on this site daily, trying everything suggested to get it to work (deleting account, revoking access, stopping, starting, etc.) I don’t recall the exact sequence of everything that I did, and I don’t know which of the step(s) were successful because I tried everything numerous times, but TOP magically started working again on 5/6, tweeting automatically on my 8 hour interval, without me having to do anything. I can, however, tell you the settings that I currently have in place – this is all based on the free version:

– I have version 6.6 installed. This is the version that was in place when TOP began working again, and I will not update to the current version until it appears that it’s working for everyone.
– Tweet content – title only
– Additional text – none
– URL shortener – wp short url. (I didn’t previously use a shortener, but that was one of the early suggestions, so I tried it. I know it did not help to get TOP working when I first changed this setting, but since it’s working now, I’m not changing it.)
– Tweet old posts more than once – checked
– Hashtags – Common hashtag for all tweets

I also have some excluded categories, and that is now working properly again. Hope this helps!

– Sample tweets work.
– I just got this error message when I hit start tweet: “Error for your last tweet was :”Tweet was already tweeted, if you want to tweet your old tweets more than once, select “Tweet old posts more than once” option.” However, this has not been common for me. I’ve been following these posts for a week or so, doing every suggestion to try to get TOP to work. Usually, I get no error message.
– That solution doesn’t work for me. Following those steps gets an initial tweet, but no more tweets after that. (That’s actually what I was writing to sborg about above – sorry if that was not clear.) I’ve gone through those steps three of four times with the same result – only one tweet, and then it no longer works.

The last time TOP worked for me was on 4/27. Since then, there has not been one automatic tweet, and I’ve installed every update that you’ve published.

sborg: I don’t think you will have much luck. I’ve tried that several times, and it works once, with the initial “start tweet,” but it won’t work after that.

6.6 is not working properly for me either. It DID send out a tweet 12 hours ago from an un-excluded category, so that was good. But I’ve consistently had my interval set to 8 hours, since before all of these rewrites. TOP missed the next 8 hour interval, and based on the timer this morning, it seemed to want to send out my tweets at 12 hour intervals. However, when the timer hit 0, nothing happened.

It seems that 6.6 is still broken.

Latest problem: I’ve had three tweets sent out since this started working again. All of the tweets have come from categories I set up to exclude from TOP. In other words, it seems like your setting, “Exclude specific tweets” is doing the exact opposite of what it used to do.

I should have mentioned – the countdown was also working for me, but even when it zero (about 20 minutes ago), it still would not tweet.

The current message is: Tweet Old Post is set to tweet on a 8 hours interval, and the next tweet will take place in: Your tweet was just sent to twitter server. Refresh the page to see when the next one will be posted.

Sample tweet DOES appear to be working.

This is still not working for me. I’ve had TOP set up to tweet every 8 hours, but this has not worked in 2 days. I’ve upgraded to 6.1, I’ve unauthorized and re-authorized my Twitter account several times, and I’ve clicked Start Tweet several times. Any suggestions?
