In reply to: [Amazon Link] ip2nation database update errorThanks Paul. My limited follow-up testing suggests it is working fine. I appreciate you taking the time to respond, and in developing this plugin.

In reply to: [Amazon Link] ip2nation database update errorLooks like I have at least figured out how to get the localisation to turn on again. I was previously trying to turn it off and then on (to force an update) in the SETUP page. I see now there are options in the SETTINGS page for the same thing. Seems to have turned on now.
Is the above-mentioned error likely to cause any issues?

In reply to: [Gust] Error 404 – Page not foundFYI… I was facing the same issue, and flushing the permalinks fixed it.
Just went to WP Admin > Settings > Permalinks (as Liuiza suggested) and hit Save on that page. Done.

I encourage others to do the same, if you have any genuine use for this plug-in, and you wish to see it continue.

In reply to: [Stripe for WooCommerce] Error & The future of this pluginHello Stephen,
I’d be more than happy to pay for your plugin.
Have you considered putting it on Code Canyon? I am quite certain that if you sold it for a reasonable price (along the lines of what you’ve mentioned in your above comment… something like $20) I am sure plenty of people would buy it.I found your plugin when I discovered my other option was to pay $79 per site for the WooTheme Strip plugin. That’s for one year. Seems ridiculous to me. If I could buy your plugin for $20 I would.
What’s your plan?
Cheers,
Jonathan
I have now found your forums.
I suspect this may answer my question:https://pods.io/forums/topic/convert-wp-types-to-pods/
I will try this out.
@bridal_blog, please apply the following changeset to your jetpack files and let me know if that fixes the warning for custom-css.php you mentioned above.
This solution worked for me. My blog was having the same issue as the one detailed by Bridal_blog.

In reply to: Best practices for migration from Joomla to WordPress?Discovered that it is the 404 Redirected plugin causing the issue. When it is activated,
?p=
generates a 404 when the ID is for a PAGE, if the Automatic Redirects option is not activated. If the Automatic Redirect option is activated, then it will redirect to the home page. Either way, it stops the shortlink for PAGES from working.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Best practices for migration from Joomla to WordPress?Hi Spiff.
Thanks for mentioning this. It has prompted me to dig around. I see that on one of my other sites?p=
will load pages and posts. However, on the site I am working on now (the one I migrated from Joomla) I have to use
?page_id=
for pages. If I use?p=
for pages, I get a 404 error. very strange. I am guessing that a plugin is messing around with the core WP shortlinks.I’ll disable them all and see what happens.

Still working on issue #2 because ?page_id= does not redirect posts, only pages. Have posted a question specific to this issue elsewhere.Marking this thread as RESOLVED

In reply to: Best practices for migration from Joomla to WordPress?Hi Spiff, or anyone…
The trouble I am now facing is that the shortlink/?p=###
does not work for pages. It only works for posts.
Any suggestions?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Admin bar disappears when I switch to www.SiteName.comYou might have to run a search and replace on the database to update any old references to the url.
Thanks for helping. Are you saying that there might be configuration settings in the database which are sticking with the old URL? I am aware that within posts (images, media, links, etc.) the old URL can stick around and needs to be updated manually or with a search/replace plugin, but I was not aware that configuration settings might keep the old URL, and surely only a system/core related setting would affect the admin authorization at the front-end. Right?
