In reply to: [WP Tiles] Read me firstMike, thanks for this advice?and thanks a million to Trenvo for this tremendous WordPress tool!
I’m new to WP-Tile, love it already. Will chip in here from time to time with answers to questions where I can. Least I can do considering the value you’ve given me for free.

In reply to: [WP Tiles] How to use WP tiles?1. Open to the post or page you want the tiles to be displayed on.
2. Click the icon image in your editing toolbar that looks like 4 dark squares. That opens the WP-Tile menu.
3. Then enter the settings you want, and hit the Insert button. It’ll apply the shortcode to the text of your page. Preview, tweak settings as desired (using Step 2, or manually modifying the shortcode text on the page)
4. Publish the page normally when you’re done ??
Do prepare for a bit of trial and error to figure out what everything does!

In reply to: [WP Tiles] This is how to display posts by category with shortcodeLove it!
Clarification: To reiterate Toni’s advice in another thread, using the “Category ID” for this purpose does not work properly. So always use the CategoryName if you want tiles to pick posts out of a category!
Application: I use this so that posts in my blog category appear as tiles on the homepage without having to make a change to the homepage shortcode each time I publish a new blog/news post. Posts in other categories form our website’s static content, so they don’t belong as tiles. If you do similar, ensure your posts in the relevant category each contain at least one image for best effect.
