    Another question, if I may, is there a way that the widget could be placed in a WordPress menu?

    Hi Hannah, thanks for the reply.

    What I want is to display a gallery of images which, when an image is clicked, the full size version opens in a new tab. With a single image using Gutenberg you can do this with just four clicks:

    – click the link button
    – click ‘Media File’
    – click to open the drop-down menu
    – click ‘Open in New Tab’

    I had found your way of doing it in Advance Gallery but the problem is that there doesn’t seem to be an easy to get the URL of the image without going back to the media library. If you have a large gallery that’s really time-consuming.

    I was hoping that there was something easier. For example, an ‘Open in New Tab’ slider under the ‘Link To’ drop down (like the Lightbox one under ‘Link Image Size’) would be a great way to solve this (unless there is something simple you can put in the URL box that refers to the image itself).
