My server tech deactivated the plugin and gave me one prior to your update that is working well, I will wait to do any further updating until I update the WordPress to 4.7. Right now happy to just have it working like it was before.

I’m still not sure one of my other plugin updates didn’t conflict with your plugin. Thank you for your help, for now, going to leave the settings as is until I have time to work with it.

I’m “not” code savvy that should have said above, it won’t let me log in to my site so I can’t uninstall your plugin.

I’ll have to see if the server tech can fix this. I’m disappointed as your plugin was working so well, but now don’t know what the problem is.

I’m not sure what your first question means, I’m code savvy. I don’t have WP_DEBUG, I can’t get into my site at all, if I had to go in from the back end I wouldn’t know how to go about it. If you could explain this better I can let the server tech know how to go in fix it perhaps.

Thank you for letting me know, I’ll ditch those and look for something else, I was testing it having seen it on other sites but my major problem has been brute force attacks which I can say thankfully, due to your plugin has decreased dramatically. Thank you so much!

Thank you, I saved the custom login URL I created and followed the sample… so far so good except (bet you hate to hear that) when I went to log out of my site it wouldn’t let me, said there is was an error with another plugin I have called “Nextend Facebook Connect” (actually there are 3 separate plugins by the same author (Nextend Google Connect & Nextend Twitter Connect). They allow page subscribers to login to my page under any of their personal accounts with Facebook, Google or Twitter. I deactivated them and was able to log out. I was wondering if you have run into this problem yet?

If it is choice of security or easy login for subscribers I have to take security with all the brute force attacks I’m receiving. Just thought I would run it by you in case you had an easy fix or might want to look into should someone else bring it up.

Thank you for your time in explaining this, I will follow the instruction link, I believe I understand now. I didn’t provide a custom login address and when I clicked on the block direct access to wp-login it gave me the 404 error.

Actually I had to go to my server for help to disable the program. I did look for instructions for what to do and not to do but couldn’t find it for the app. It looks like a really good program but want to be sure what NOT to do to lock myself out. I even had my IP in the whitelisted section so was a surprise when it locked me out.

So to be clear… I should or shouldn’t click the box for wp-login.php?

Well that’s disappointing, I also have been using this for a long while and had too many images to put back in. I won’t be adding the plugin back. It should have updated the images with the new WordPress update. Nice while it lasted.

Thank you, I would appreciate that. I really like this plugin and I’ve had it up for awhile, it was working fine when I first put it up, so not sure what happened. I do know Twitter has been making some changes so it could very well be on their end. I’m not in a rush, I’m still growing my site and working on it.

I had Usernoise and Jetpack working together, didn’t have that kind of problem, I had a different one but apparently there is no support for here, in the long list of issues in the support area, only 2 have been addressed. I’m disappointed this is the case, really liked this plugin.

Too true, it was indeed a mistake of a newbie like myself. Then again I now have Sucuri and Simple Firewall that DON’T have to change root files to operate and protect my site. There might be a lesson there!
