    I’ve been blindly trying all afternoon to add query post code in my recent posts.php but I’m not getting anywhere. This one changed the list but not in a way that was by category that I can tell.

    <?php query_posts (‘cat=-1,-2,-3’); ?>

    I can’t figure out how my categories are numbered to start. Where would that be indicated? Even if I do know how they are numbered I’m not sure if the code is really doing anything. Is this meant for the index page only or does it work elsewhere? Anyone? Bueller?

    My Bad. I just saw a page that uses Categories to do the features explained.

    I do not wish to have multiple users just ways to view pertinate information on different pages. One page could store information about upcoming events. Another would have reviews of events that already past. Keeping the information seperate allows the user to have more interactivity and a way to pinpoint what information they are looking for.

    I figured out that you can not blog to pages earlier today. I also found the category options. Is there a way in the ordering to put a page as “home” and the blog after. Than all I would need was one or two more pages to present specialized info for the viewer.
