In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Table Borderswith
.tablepress {
border: 1px solid #9476c9 !Important;
}I get the top, left, bottom borders. But not the right.
a) Do you know of any conflict with Visual Composer?
b) Do you know of any explicit CSS for the right side of the table, including header and data rows? Thanks!

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Table BordersNope.
I’m using Visual Composer and I thought there might be a conflict with tablepress and columns or custom boxes, so I put it in a single row…still no right border…:>(

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] responsive ext – minor issuesFrom a UI perspective, that makes the scroll unusable – users may or may not swipe to activate it.
If this is the case, then the table setup should have either:
– a flag to suppress display of the table in a mobile form factor -OR-
– a descriptive prompt that is only displayed in a mobile form factor to let the user know they need to swipe to see the rest of the table.Otherwise, it’s a negative user experience.

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] responsive ext – minor issuesNOTE…
In an attempt to find an aesthetic workaround for mobile form factors, I did the following:
– created 2 additional tables, each with a single column.
– added a row with 2 columns
– assigned each single column table to the new row-column config.
Since this is a text table (not a data table), it actually works on a mobile form factor! The entire columns are now displayed one on top of the other, which I think looks better on a mobile form factor…not sure there really is a way to do tables on mobile that just doesn’t look a bit off.
Pls see my other thread, as I still have problems with the right side border not displaying…
Regards!

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Table BordersTobias,
Thanks for the quick reply.
Try url: https://dev03.altchinese.com/
I may make some changes, but in general, I think my syntax for the right side of the table may be off:
– the table header is fine (but that is a single row)
– not sure if there is a special css reference to ALL rows in the table body…?Regards!

In reply to: [Popups - WordPress Popup] POPUP ONLY DISPLAYS ONCEIDK – now it’s working…
You clearly have more time on your hands than I do.
– If you’ve tested against 4.9, perhaps you should update the plugins overview page.
– Tried the WYSIWYG button – nothing…?
I may be in the minority on this site, but if WP had been designed from the ground up as a CMS rather than a blogging tool, then many of the plugins would not even be necessary. Take a look at Drupal – relatively few plugins because multi-lang, admin functions, extensibility is part of the core product.
WP is death by a thousand nicks – if one were to pay annual fees for each of the plugins needed to make WP do what Drupal or Sitefinity do out of the box, you’d be far better off going with those products.
The total cost of ownership for a comparable web site is now far greater with WP (and the 20+ plugins needed to make it do sth) than with alternatives.
Again, look at products like Duplicator. They have a premium version, but the freemium version is robust and complete.
Not changing my rating – your product does not provide a reasonable return on investment.
See my review of Popups – WordPress Popup…

In reply to: [Admin Menu Editor] AVOID – $15 MIN ANNUAL FEE – RIPOFFIn addition, if you de-activate the Pro Version (in order to use the regular version), all previously defined admin menus are deleted.
To make changes to the admin menu, the pro version has to be de-activated and the regular version has to be activated…at which point, the plugins author has inserted code to delete ALL changes to the admin, INCLUDING THOSE CREATED WITH THE REGULAR (NON PRO) VERSION.
That’s just unprofessional.

Many thanks!!!
And one other …
The Custom <head> Code, Tracker Objects and GA Code can / should all be left blank for normal analytics function…?
Just a quick followup question…
Does “enable display advertising” imply that ads will display on my site?
Great!! Thanks for the quick response!!
I activated 8 hours ago, but it looks like it may take the full 24 hours to see any activity.
Hmmm. I didn’t check the zip. What’s happening is that slider refs to images still have the url’s, and the media library still shows the images but can’t resolve some of the thumbnails…so I’m assuming the files themselves got dropped.
In the short term, I just reloaded the images…
