We’re sorry to hear about your experience, and we’d like to clarify that?Imagify does not delete images on its own. The plugin is designed to optimize images while keeping the original files safe.
If the?backup option?is enabled in the settings, original images are stored in the?
/uploads/backup/
?folder. If disabled, only the optimized versions are kept, but deletion is not part of Imagify’s functionality.We strongly encourage reaching out to our support team especially since you had a paid subscription – we are more than happy to investigate and resolve any issue you encountered. We’d like to clarify that this behavior is not a bug but rather the result of how optimization works for PDFs. Some types of PDFs, such as those containing 508/ADA/A11y features, are not ideal for optimization, as it can affect those accessibility settings.
To address this, we’ve provided a?helper plugin?that allows users to skip PDF auto-optimization. You can find it here:?Skip PDF Auto-Optimization Helper Plugin. This solution has been available to assist users with similar requirements.
Additionally, we’ve raised this as a feature request to our development team for future consideration, aiming to integrate this option directly into the plugin’s UI to make it more accessible.
