No problem there’s plenty of free plugin that allows WebP around here. In any case, you can’t do both, transform images to WebP and compress the images if that’s already in WebP so…

You did it the proper way, that shouldn’t break your images as they’re all indexed in your content by WordPress, not by ImageRecycle.
Could you please login to the ImageRecycle website and drop a support ticket? We need to investigate that further.

Once the sitemap is generated (on the first sitemap setting saving action) and the plugin activated you’ll find the .xml file at the root of your WordPress install, it’s called: wpms-sitemap.xml

If you uninstall the plugin and remove the file, the sitemap won’t be re-generated of course.

It’s sometimes related to a server memory limit, or even an incompatibility with another plugin.
