In reply to: Sidebar disappeared on home page; return for single post. Whaddido?Downloaded the origninal theme and replace the index.php, everything’s back to normal. Will look at the mods and see which is the culprit.
Thanks again for taking a look.

In reply to: Sidebar disappeared on home page; return for single post. Whaddido? That’s weird. I saw it at first, but the line is now <– commented out –> in the index.php source, and I just deactivated the Tweet This plugin again.
It’s so strange that for single.php and page.php everything displays just fine.

In reply to: Sidebar disappeared on home page; return for single post. Whaddido?Hi, thanks, it is there, in fact. I also notice though that on the index.php page I am only getting one post and no footer…the single.php displays the footer, et. al.
augh.

In reply to: Updating Core never endsI have the same problem…but the upgrade is sucessful. It just hangs, never says it’s complete; there’s a blank screen with just the left column, and I just wait awhile, then click the Dashboard to check, and all’s well.
It seems to complete the upgrade, but never says so. (This with five upgrades to 2.7 today.)

In reply to: 2.7 beta Upgrade Issue?I’ve just upgraded five blogs from RC1 and RC2 to 2.7 (happy happy). The upgrades seem to be successful…although it looks like they don’t finish.
I hit the Install Automatically, enter the password, select secure server option, hit upgrade, and the body of the screen goes blank, the progress bar hits halfway…and that’s where it stays.
I wait a adequate amount of time, click the Dashboard, and it tells me I am running the version I upgraded to.
I don’t have the problem with plugin upgrade or installation.
Are these related?

In reply to: Invalid feed re-direct – feed not availableHi again, the .htaaccess has been extensively modified with the wrong address, some time ago, evidently. I’ll go look and see what I might need to do to restore it.

In reply to: Upgrade error – forgot to deactivate plugins.Hi, had a tech take a closer look: the problem was a combination of two things: all the wp files were not copied over successfully, and an empty text widget in the sidebar (was not using the plugin, just to confirm). One would have been resolved with a re-install – not sure where the empty text widget came from, frankly!
Working fine now, thankfully.
Thanks as always for everyone’s input…have taken copious notes for future issues.

In reply to: Upgrade error – forgot to deactivate plugins.found and deleted blank lines…same messages. How I wish I was a php guru. ??

In reply to: Upgrade error – forgot to deactivate plugins.I have reinstalled everything, and emptied the plugins folder. The messages I receive are still:
Warning: array_keys() [function.array-keys]: The first argument should be an array in /home/illustra/public_html/livingvenice/wp-includes/widgets.php on line 1042
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/illustra/public_html/livingvenice/wp-includes/widgets.php:1042) in /home/illustra/public_html/livingvenice/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 848
Is this a theme issue? It just couldn’t be worse timing! I had no trouble upgrading to 2.7 on two other blogs.

In reply to: Upgrade error – forgot to deactivate plugins.Hi again…I’ve done quite a bit of seaching on these messages and can’t find anything that matches or that I change that makes a difference.
I would very much appreciate any help, from any where…my blog has just been cited in a London newspaper. Very bad timing. ??

In reply to: ttftitles: font not foundThe message wasn’t kidding.
Went to the font-reload page, and lo and behold, there was the *former* folder name from before I renamed it to coordinate more with the domain name. I had renamed the cache path, but not the font path. Duh.
Chalk another one up to Operator Error.
(Glad you like the site, thanks.)

In reply to: POP3 connect: ErrorI had the same issue, but resolved it setting the port back to 110 as opposed to the outgoing port of 26 specified by the server.
