I use manual preload via CRON and I get similar messages:

cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10002 milliseconds with 0 bytes received - ERROR https://www.my page.... (mobile)
cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 10001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received - ERROR https://www.my page.... (desktop)

10 page have been cached

I know that LiteSpeed Web Server is superior to Apache so I will try the WPFC with LiteSpeed Web Server

[SOLVED in MY CASE] Hi guys – here is the solution in my case:
– after i check all the possible solutions I found on forums, repaid DB, deactivate plugins, update WP and WOO etc etc…
– I contacted my hosting provider and they gave me the possibility to CHANGE “Current PHP version:” which in my case was native 5.6 and I downgrade it to PHP 5.5
– After this change everything is working perfectly.
