Let us help you: Iks Menu is only for displaying menus that you create using standard WordPress’ admin page tools. For example, you can create categories and posts in WP, and select them in Iks Menu at the “Data” tab using the “Menu source” + “Taxonomy” settings:

Then save menu, copy and paste shortcode at any place of your site. Like with any other WordPress plugin.

“Expand current item” is a PRO feature, yes. And it has a label for that. We will think about blocking and disabling this checkbox in the FREE version, thanks for catching this strange situation.

Sorry, but Iks Menu has no such option to achieve this out of the box. You need to create mobile menu by yourself or with another plugin and place Iks Menu inside it.

In the meantime, you can enable a setting that will automatically expand the currently viewed submenu.

1. This can’t be achieved right now for “Current” item.
2. You can set styles for expanded items, but you need to use a plain CSS, example:
