  • On the free version of the Visual form builder, having the WP-Mail-SMTP settings works like a charm! But we have VFB Pro version and this fix does not work. We cannot get notifications any longer. Has anyone else had this issue?

    Hi Val,

I want to thank you for your assistance and the new release 4/6 of this wonderful plugin!

With the new release, now that you added ‘status’ selections on new orders, we now can receive email notifications successfully for ‘pending payment’ AND ‘processing’ orders statuses when they come through.

THank you for your wonderful assistance!

    Thank you.

Then it may help me to list out all the plugins he has installed. Nothing effects emailing except the Easy WP SMTP plugin so i can enter an smtp address for use with outgoing emails:

    bbPress
    Black Studio TinyMCE Widget
    Easy WP SMTP
    TinyMCE Advanced
    UpdraftPlus
    Visual Form Builder Pro
Visual Form Builder Pro – Payments
    White Label CMS
    WooCommerce
    WooCommerce Colors
    WooCommerce Product Add-Ons
    WooCommerce Product Details Customizer
    WooSidebars
    WooThemes Helper
    Wordfence Security
    WP-SpamShield

So nothing in that list really stands out as effecting anything except smtp but that doesn’t seem to make sense that it would trigger something with new orders…

not possible that this is happening? or not possible to fix this?

thank you for the update on 2.6.

however, i’m certain i’m not confusing the two.

The shop owner is receive two of the same emails.

the heading has ‘New Order Submitted – ‘ on both emails.
one when the order is placed.
one when the order status is updated to completed.

    both are the same emails.
these are not test orders with his email address.
These are actual customer orders and he is getting two new order notifications emails for these orders….once when their new, and once when he marks them as completed.

Thank you Mike! Let me clarify what i currently have setup…

When an order is placed, a ‘new order’ email gets sent to shop owner.
At that point the status is ‘on hold’.
When a payment is received, the shop owner changes the status of that order to ‘completed’ and the shop owner again gets a ‘new order’ email for that same order.

Right now in Woocommerce the top 3 emails listed there are for the shop owner.

    So i have selected:
    – New Order

the ones not selected for the shop owner are cancelled and failed.
The rest of the emails are noted for ‘customer’. and only refunded, reset, and new account are selected and enabled to send out.

So the email that says ‘completed order’ is a ‘customer’ email and that is not enabled anyway …but the shop owner wouldn’t get this if it was enabled.

Hopefully this clarifies what my settings are.

    Thanks!

    Ryan,

This is happening to me as well.
I just submitted now in the ticket system on woothemes.com so hopefully they will answer there and if needed release a fix for it.

Thank you Teodor. I just submitted my ticket now! If you can let me know you received it

I don’t know what the turnaround time is, but I had submitted a ticket through their before this one but I didn’t get a reply yet (only has been a couple days) so yesterday when I had a question about this, i thought i’d try this forum area instead.

Also, i wasn’t sure if it was received because the ticket system doesn’t have a place to show me what my tickets were and that they were submitted. It just tells me they will get back to me shortly and i don’t get an email either that my ticket was received.

So i was worried they were not being received…which is another reason i tried to submit through here ??

thanks for your further help! Again a great plugin and works great!

    Thank you for your replies

Valentin – Not sure what your referring too about the shortcode. I want to receive notifications when an order is placed and the status is ‘Pending Payment’ so i selected all that is marked as ‘pending payment’ and entered my email and a couple others so I would receive the email. This custom #1 is for shop owner not the customer.

Jason – I checked the email log, thank you i didn’t see that. I tested the order when i went to order a free item with no shipping (for testing purposes) through cheque payment options and it DID log the emails successfully. However, If i put an order in that gives me the paypal link, I click to go to paypal, which automatically lists my order in ‘orders’ on woocommerce, when i get to paypal to submit my payment. So i wait a bit on that screen expecting that woocommerce will send that email since my order IS listed in the ‘orders’ panel as pending payment even though i haven’t submittted a payment yet. i expect it to email but it doesn’t. Shouldn’t the system email whenever ‘any’ orders get added to the woocommerce system?

This store is unique in that it paypal ‘authorizes’ payment but doesn’t capture it until the order is being processed since these items are made to order.

Any additional thoughts are of course welcome and appreciated!

    HI Val,

    THank you

I print screened the settings, blurred out any identifier.

i do have 3 emails in the recipient field but they are correctly separated by commas per the instructions so that cannot be incorrect.

I was using WP Mail SMTP but that didn’t seem to change anything, so I installed a Woocommerce recommended smtp plugin called Postman SMTP and gave that a try to still no avail for pending payment orders. Other notification do come through so it must not be the email settings.

Why is Pending Payment orders so much more complicated to get an email notification for?

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I noticed this as well. Hosted on godaddy, the form submissions are not going through. they are listed in ‘entries’ of course but i don’t get the email.

I too am looking for a plugin or some membership system that can generate offline membership cards.

I also tried compatibility mode in IE (after failing using chrome) and i’m still not able to save my settings. Where is facebooks plugin admin to help us?
