I actually think I solved it, I shut down ALL plugins including Akismet and things were fine.

BUT,

when I activated only akismet, still had the problem.

So, I just setup a new “key” with Akismet, and activated all plugins and things seem to be working fine once again. I did some test comments under me, and they posted automatically.. will see if this contineus.

I just deactivated the Akismet plugin along with all the others, and a comment went through just fine. I then activated Akismet and the same problem re-occurred….

strange eh…

I cant imagine its Akismet which is giving me issues… what you think?

I’ll give the deactivating all plugins a try to see if there’s one in there that’s messing things up. THX SO MUCH!!

hey all, my ht access file was compromised and the russian site had a ton of re-directs at the very bottom of it. anyways, once i deleted them, it was all fixed.

THX TO ESMI for his advice thru one of his links to call my host. I called GODaddy and the first guy I talked through walked me through the fix.

Now I can go to work….. eh hey.

so I spoke with someone new today at Godaddio, and they were really helpful, they went into the database in optimized them for me while showing me all the steps as I am quite scared of playing with the databases etc… anyways the site seems to be a little bit faster. thx to those who responded t-p!

called host, they said to get rid of plugins, and to read the email they will be sending…?? so will give that a try. they said everything among the databases looks good, so that doesn’t seem to be my issue right now. according to godaddio

Thanks for the tips, I really appreciate it. I have not tried the first 3 things you mentioned, and I’m afraid that I am to ignorant/dumb with WP to know what increasing the memory available to PHP is, but via your link I am interested to learn about it. That sounds really neat.

Quick question: I have many images on the entire site, but I don’t think I have many within any one page. Would too many images site wide be a problem for a particular page to load?

what is strange is that on another wordpress site I have, that is hosted the same place, it runs at a fast normal speed as for page loading. Also, if this helps anyone, on the backend, when I am in the admin panel on wordpress, whenever I try to navigate to a new screen or hit update on a post etc… it takes the same long SLOW amount of time. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.

Hey JesperA, what do you suggest I do. do I just need to throw in a few </div> tags and </p>?
would that maybe rectify the situation?

I threw in a closed</div> at the bottom below the centercol tag, and it seemed to somehow get the sidebar back up to the top right(which was the goal) but I think I just got lucky throwing it in there.
If yu have any ideas on how many closed div or closed p tags i need, please let me know,
