In reply to: [Contact Form 7] date format in mailtagsHi Papouck-
So was the general settings date format the only thing you had to change? The validation wants me to format like: YYYY-mm-dd, just as the documentation says. I changed the general settings, as you mentioned, to the order that I would like: m/d/Y and the form validation still says, “Date format seems invalid.”, when entering something like 05/21/2011 or 05-21-2011.
This is my form shortcode now:
[date* student-dob]
Any ideas or additional steps?
Thanks!

In reply to: [Plugin: Simple Facebook Connect] Publish Posts Only, Not PagesI found the issue – I just needed to turn off Socialite, a plugin that I’m trying to replace with SFC.

In reply to: [Plugin: Simple Facebook Connect] Publish Posts Only, Not PagesIn the back-end the settings only go down to “Extended Permissions” (under “Publish Settings”) and I don’t see any option to Update or Save settings. Is there any code in the plugin that I need to uncomment in order to see the rest of the settings page?
Thanks!

In reply to: Does Contact Form 7 work OK with 3.0?The only problem that I noticed with the upgrade from 2.2.1 to 2.3 is that the email response HTML formatting is all jacked up. I just noticed the difference between formatting a form that I use on several sites and the messed up formatting in emails are the ones that came from the 2.3 version plug-in.
If anyone knows of a solution for this, I’d love to hear it.
Thanks,

In reply to: POSTIE PLUG w. IMAP or POP3 feature/GMAIL-ACCOUNTQuestion for both of you: under “Mailserver” Postie options do you see “Mail Protocol: [POP3] IMAP/IMAP-SSL/POP3-SSL unavailable” where [POP3] is the drop-down menu (no other options?
This is what I see and supposedly the imap extension is enabled on my server. Please let me know if you find any solution and I’ll do the same.
Thanks, Dan

In reply to: [Plugin: Contact Form 7] Not working on IEI found the answer to my problem. In classes.php there is line 55 with ‘<div style=”display: none;”>’. I just changed none to block and the whole form appeared magically, sort of.

In reply to: [Plugin: Contact Form 7] Not working on IEIE does not even show the form for me. It shows and submits just fine with Firefox and Safari but I can’t get it to show anything with IE.

In reply to: Help – Reset Socialite and now can’t retrieve the Facebook CodeGo back to your WP control panel and click the Socialite plugin under Settings. You have to click the button “Reset Facebook Account Login”. Then go through steps 1 and 2 again. You’ll do 1 after you’ve logged into your FB account which asks if you want Socialite to have access. Confirm this and then follow the prompts to get the code. Copy the code and go back to WP and paste it into the code box, then scroll to the bottom f the page and click “Save Changes”.

In reply to: [Plugin: Socialite] Doesn’t post to TwitterI have it configured and posting to Twitter and FB but I’d like it to be able to authenticate with FB groups and post there. Maybe this is a limitation of FB? Twitter works by plugging in username and password. FB requires a more rigorous authentication, it seems.

In reply to: [Plugin: Capability Manager] How to add a capabilityCM allowed me to add a plugin (Faster image insert) to the Contributor role. This allows the contributor insertion of an image from a computer hard-drive, NextGen gallery or URL. The URL is going to help solve the problem that I needed to solve but getting Flickr to do a workaround would also be nice.

In reply to: [Plugin: Capability Manager] How to add a capabilityContributor was my first choice but the Flickr API doesn’t seem to like the defaults for a Contributor. That’s why I wanted to see if tweaking this role with Capability Manager (CM) might do the trick. ‘Edit Posts’ is already selected in CM. It seems that Flickr may be requiring ‘Publish posts’, so maybe I need to look to them to provide an option.

In reply to: [Plugin: Capability Manager] How to add a capabilityDo you know if there is a way to use this plugin to allow a Contributer to post via the Flickr API without allowing a directly published post? I when I check “Publish posts” the post is automatically published (makes sense) but I want all posts to come through to be held in a queue for moderation by an Editor. I’m trying to tweak an Author profile to get what I need but feel like I’m trying to find a needle in a haystack.
Any suggestions are very much appreciated!
Thanks,
Dan
