In reply to: [podPress] [Plugin: podPress] iTunes feed broken – stumped!Hello,
In each new podcast episode published, a player appears on the bottom of the post (even when the “disable player” button is checked off). We do not want this in our posts.
Even when both options “Disable Player” & “Disable Preview Player” are checked off, a logo and some text with the [duration] and a download link still appears. How can these be removed?
Thank you.

In reply to: [podPress] [Plugin: podPress] iTunes feed broken – stumped! The option “Include only posts with podPress attachments in this Feed” was always unchecked in the Feed/iTunes Settings page. Even when it is unchecked, no other episodes are in iTunes at the moment. Is there still a problem?
Also, for each episode we add, we need to add the duration? The automatic detection had the wrong value for the duration of the episode. Will we then have to insert each episode’s duration manually?
Thank you.

In reply to: [podPress] [Plugin: podPress] iTunes feed broken – stumped! Also, iTunes is showing a 1 second and only 19 minute streaming preview of the episodes….not the full duration of the files….is there a way to fix this?

In reply to: [podPress] [Plugin: podPress] iTunes feed broken – stumped!Thank you – the podcast is now in iTunes.
However, only 1 episode is showing in the feed in iTunes – the one post that we added information in the section “podPress – Podcast Settings of this post” on the bottom
So for each future episode and to add them to iTunes, how would we add the rest of the episodes (previous and upcoming)?

When validating the RSS feed, we get an error: https://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=https://music.ienlive.com/feed/podcast/
Is that still ok? For our current podcast posts, we are using WPAudio Player (linking to audio files on our server). Those are the only parts of the posts that contain a URL with the file link of the podcast episode. How would that work in conjunction with podPress and submitting episodes to iTunes?
We have used Quick-Edit and added the specific category and it has showed up in the Category Filter. Anything else needs to be done there?
Everything else should be clear?

In reply to: [podPress] [Plugin: podPress] iTunes feed broken – stumped!Hello,
Ok thank you. The folder that is currently hosting the files for the podcast also includes other (unrelated) files. In the General Settings page for podPress, the URL host folder is currently set to a folder that we WILL be using from now on, not the folder where all the files are currently with past episodes. Would that matter?
Ok, so we will go ahead and quick edit all of the episodes and add the category we created then select that category in the Category Filter.
Are we good to go?
Thanks for your support.

In reply to: [podPress] [Plugin: podPress] iTunes feed broken – stumped!Hi,
Thank you. One thing is now hitting us – the category we created in Posts > Categories is not showing up in the list of “Category Filters” in the Feed/iTunes Settings page.
Is there any way to refresh the list? Every other category looks to be there except the one we created. We will use Quick-Edit to add all of our existing posts.
As far as the files go – from now on, we have a dedicated folder (server) to add the podcasts to. However, the existing episodes are all in another folder. Would we have to re-upload everything to the new folder and replace the URL’s? How would that work?
And for new episodes, let’s say we upload the podcast audio file to the designated folder on the server. Would iTunes just reference that file and the title of the post to show up in iTunes?
Thank you again.

In reply to: [podPress] [Plugin: podPress] iTunes feed broken – stumped!Ok. So what we are going with now in the settings tab:
Feed/iTunes Settings: Category Filter: (the one we created specifically for the podcast_
Posts > Categories > Edit Category > podPress Category Casting: Checked onNow we just have to go to each podcast post and add the category we created, in the sidebar area.
All set?
Thanks again.

In reply to: [podPress] [Plugin: podPress] iTunes feed broken – stumped!Ok perfect – so we just need to filter the specific podcast posts we want to include for iTunes and specify that category in the podPress Feed Options > Category Filter correct?
Then we must edit the settings on the bottom section of a post draft before publishing so it is sent to iTunes. We should be good to go then yes?
Thank you.

In reply to: [podPress] [Plugin: podPress] iTunes feed broken – stumped!Hello,
Thanks.
This means adding a category to each podcast post. You could do this via Quick Edit in the posts overview.
Do you mean for every episode we post, we have to create a brand new category within WordPress? Going to Posts > Category then adding a new one every time?
We’re trying to find a way as we add a new episode each week, to have only those episodes filtered and automatically sent to iTunes. The settings are fine right now but we just want to make sure everything is set.
If you could get back to us we’d greatly appreciate it. Thank you again.

In reply to: [podPress] [Plugin: podPress] iTunes feed broken – stumped!Ok thank you.
So we can either go the route of creating a new category within WordPress and filtering all of our current podcast episodes into the category and selecting that in “Category Filter” or go the route of the tags correct?
The category-based route may be better since only podcast episodes for “Live the Mix” will be filtered under that category as opposed to normal posts – but tags can appear in any.
Thank you!

In reply to: [podPress] [Plugin: podPress] iTunes feed broken – stumped!Ok, yes – filtering podcast posts with the tag “Live-the-Mix” would be much more streamlined (or even creating another post category within WordPress and selecting that in the podPress settings where it says “Category Filter”), however, would we have to manually insert the link into the post each time, or would it be automated per episode?
Thanks!
