In reply to: hate doing this@michael,
Yea, I thought several times about moving that to the bottom of the page…truth is, I travel out of B’ham a lot and I like to know the weather here if I open my site (again, its not ‘all’ for the viewers)….I will def. take that into consideration however….As far as the Cal. goes, I was working with the Flickr plugin and the thumbnails wouldn’t align correctly, thus the move in the sidebar margins…I’ve just yet to change them back, but thanks for reminding me!
@Both, I actually do have a Colophon(about) Page that my styles got messed up on so I jerked it until I can get it working again. It does, of course, give credit to Michael for his incredible work in Kubrick and I apologize for it not having been up on your visit.
Thank you both for the comments….Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Flickr GalleryRay,
I just upgraded from .05 to .06 and it was a very smooth transition. Thanks so much for addressing the security issue as I was very concerned about it having happened to me while Flickr’s site was acting up. Thanks again for all your time and effort!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: justify text around picKafkaesqui, I had to edit your img class a touch for my needs, but it worked like a charm. Thanks so much for the mini-tutorial!

In reply to: Any good photo albums outhere ?The flickr gallery that Ray wrote is still a very nice plugin. His latest release of 0.5 fixed many bugs and it is quite customizeable. I did cough up the extra cash ($40) for the flickr pro membership (which allows you unlimeted photo sets, bandwidth, etc) and I have been very pleased. I only see flickr becoming more popular as time goes by and I think the yearly membership fee (while maybe a little steep) is worth in it terms of not having to worry about the bandwidth for photos coming from ‘my’ server resources and also neat additions like the ‘Tags’ feature which uses javascript to allow you to map out certain areas of a photograph and explain them with a mouseover command. A look at my flickr gallery using Ray’s plugin can be found at https://www.idowens.com/wordpress/gallery.php

In reply to: a few bugsNM, was unaware that site existed, thank you.
Also, I’ve long admited your layout, nice work.Forum: Your WordPress
In reply to: seattle music sitedpearson, your site looks good, but you have a LOT of large photos on the main page. For those of us cable & t1 users out there, this doesn’t create much of a problem but I can see your page taking a long time to load for dialup users or even ISDN’s….Just a thought, you may want to Thumbnail those photos (something WP can do for you if you UPLOAD through WP in your admin panel) and then link to the larger photo. Other than that, it looks pretty good.

In reply to: add div colorNevermind.
set div in php as<div class="authorcolor">code</div>
and in css as#authorcolor { color: #xxxxxx; }
and it works just fine…Forum: Your WordPress
In reply to: Redesigned Again. Comments?Very clean. I like the green color…maybe try distinguishing meta post data (time, date, etc) somehow….another color or something…it seems to run together w/ the post content and looks a little monatanous. Otherwise, very nice redesign!

In reply to: Finally, Implemented Audio!!!allthewhile, sorry I just saw that you’d responded to this thread. You have to download the button from https://www.wimpyaudio.com. The rest is really just as simple as pointing the embeded code to your MP3 directory on your sites server and adjusting the button’s colors/size to meet your needs. If you need more indepth instructions or information, leave me a comment on my site or email me…
