That is not exactly what I am asking for.
I have a filter box in a category page and I would like to show only the tags that have entries of that category. When using hide_empty option, tags without entries in the whole site are hidden.
Maybe using Custom taxonomies is the key but I have a large amount of posts with a lot of tags, and changing this will be hard.
