As a followup, another plugin developer ran an HTML validation check on The Events Calendar plugin to see if they could isolate the problem. They said The Events Calendar plugin is generating many warnings and errors.

They suggested using a shortcode to display the calendar instead of a permalink, but I don’t know how that’s done.

Please advise.

For what it’s worth, my experience with Envira Gallery and its developers is quite the opposite. In fact, the support, and timeliness of support, I’ve received has been stellar. Kudos to Barbi and James for all of their help and putting up with me. ??

That’s disappointing. Upon review of the support forums, it looks like others are having the same problem. It seems like a really good app, when it works. I still don’t understand why this functionality isn’t built into WordPress though.

Andras, adding a year option would be really helpful, especially for people and companies that have annual events. It seems like adding that capability would be fairly easy.

No, it doesn’t. It may be a conflict with my theme. From what I see, it looks like you have TablePress setup for a rounded rectangle search box, whereas my theme uses traditional rectangle search boxes. Is there anyway I can modify TablePress so it too is using rectangle search boxes?

I’m using the free version, which I think limits the views to days, weeks, and month. I probably need the Pro Version for year. Is that correct?

Thanks for responding. What I’m saying is when I use the Events Calendar search feature it ONLY searches and finds events in the CURRENT month, not events that are happening several months from now. That kinda seems counter-intuitive, since that’s the purpose of most search features.

For example. My calendar is set to March. In the search bar I type in the name of an event that’s occurring in August. The ONLY way I can find that event is to search every month, which seems a little silly since you can visually see all of the vents in that month.
