What is going on with your developers? Are they not checking the updates before they release them?

@jaysupport , I think I know the problem. I have the Google Maps API restricted to my website domain, which includes a wildcard. What URL do I have to add to the API to pull the coordinates from Google or wherever your plugin is linking? Thanks!

@dsrt16 If you were well versed in MYSQL or whatever database your website is running you may be able to automate the process, but most people will have to recreate them. The best alternative that I’ve been able to find is Strong Testimonials. This plugin seems to mimic a lot of what Easy Testimonials offered and at a much better price. https://strongtestimonials.com/

I just discovered that the Easy Testimonials is not recognizing some of the shortcodes, such as “auto-height.” I’m not sure why that is. Someone who is better versed in PHP may want to investigate this further.

In addition to the above steps, you also need to modify line 1455 of easy-testimonials.php to this:

Ok, I finally got v3.9.4 to work by using the Easy Testimonial shortcode generator and Custom HTML Widgets.

@erobirds, I too am using 3.9.4. I wonder why it didn’t work for me. I too am using the Cycle widget and I also cleared the site/server cache. Maybe there’s a cache I missing somewhere.

Do you think there’s a similar fix for the Random widget?

@erobirds, unfortunately your fix didn’t work for the Easy Testimonials Random and Cycle widgets. Was that one of the things it was meant to fix? Thanks!

@petebocken, How difficult was it to move the Easy Testimonials data over to Strong Testimonials? I frequently use the Easy Testimonials Random and Cycle widgets. Does Strong Testimonials have something similar? Thanks!

That’s disappointing. Easy Testimonials was a solid plugin for many years and Richard Gabriel, who is one of the founders, was always very responsive.

What did you all do to solve this problem?
