In reply to: [Facebook] [Plugin: Facebook] Like button behaviourI’ve used a few, but I’m currently using Facebook AWD all-in-one, which is working well for me at the moment – a couple of niggles, but no show-stoppers!
I’ve also used Simple Facebook Connect, which works well, but I prefer the Comments integration from AWD.
I’m sure this plugin will get past its teething problems, which is why I’m watching any updates closely.
I think that is probably exactly what it was – the images may well have been less than 200px wide, which is why nothing was displayed!
Thank you for pointing this out – I must have completely overlooked it!
Thanks for the response.
The inconsistency I have seen was that some posts would publish to our Facebook page with a picture, some would not – and the Facebook debugger lists an OG image in all cases.
I do have %POST_IMAGE% set already, but an image does not always appear.
I must add that this inconsistency has only happened on a small number of occasions, and in actual fact an image has been published for all posts since my original question above – maybe an error Facebook-side caused the OG tag not to be interpreted and displayed correctly?
Happy to leave as resolved, and will post again should this reoccur.

In reply to: [Facebook] [Plugin: Facebook] Like button behaviourMany thanks for the response – I’ve had a quick look at 1.0.2, and I sounds like a good step forward.
In the time prior to the update I have started using another plugin, which did add a like button that behaved as expected at the time, and adds login via Facebook, which I wouldn’t want to lose by switching back – and I would worry that there may be a clash running 2 separate Facebook plugins.
I will keep an eye on future updates, and am looking forward to additional functionality.
Really appreciated the app advice – not really a ‘developer’ so very glad of the input! (and such consideration is why I am keen to use the app in the future – KUTGW!)
An author on my site has logged in with Facebook credentials, and is getting the above listed publish_stream message, but as an author cannot get to the plugin settings – any way to clear this message, and post to the linked Facebook page, or does the plugin only work for site admins?
I had trouble getting past the message
“You must publish at least one action to your Timeline using this action type.”
until I found a setting built into my theme (NOT a plugin) that was setting Open Graph tags (I’m using Weaver II). Once this was disabled and after another test post I was able to get past the message to a ‘pending’ status.

In reply to: [Facebook] [Plugin: Facebook] Acces token keeps expiring… =(I’ve just received this message too – but a reminder to check FB settings and re-authorise is not going to help.
There are users who can post content my site who do not have access to the FB settings page and therefore are unable to re-authorise, whose new content should post to the ‘Fan Page’ automatically.
