In reply to: Blog Address urlHere is an update from my hosting service in regard to this issue.
“I am pretty sure that WP is attempting to normalise the address. When a site is behind an HTTP accelerator as this is, that backfires. If it is possible to turn off rewriting, then do, I haven’t had a chance to look in the code yet.”
So my site is behind an http accelerator and when I try to normalise my url address it backfires.
So on a server like this is there any way to get my url to be a permanent www.
Many thanks for any assistance.

Log in to admin, go to users, choose your profile and the little tick box is right at the top. Just untick it.

In reply to: WYSIWYG Editor-Youtube video embed problemI had this issue with 2.2 ecen if I added the code under the code tab.
However in 2.3 this seems to have resolved itself. I added the hmtl code under the code tab and then went to visual editor and then went back under the code tab and all the coding is still there.

In reply to: Problem after changing wordpress blog and site urlNice reply thanks – has no bearing on the issue as https://www.try-streaming-video.com is the actual address of the web site and w3.try-streaming-video.com is coming from the server once WP was installed.
Your link is meanlingless to this conversation as I can still get into my Admin section

In reply to: Problem after changing wordpress blog and site urlHey there
I just installed WP 2.3 into my root directory where I want it to be.
However I changed the site and blog url to be https://www.try-streaming-video.com
When you try to view the web site it does not find it.
Okay in problem solving this the WordPress url can be set to https://www.try-streaming-video.com with no issues.
But the blog address url does not like the above address it has to be set to https://w3.try-streaming-video.com or otherwise no one can access the web site, eventually comes back with a blank page in IE saying done.
Is this a server issue or WP issue.
Many thanksForum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: how to make a page – my home pageGreetings
I have a similiar issue. The link under Pages in the Nav menu says home. I would prefer that points to our main web site url.
I also have other issues in that there is no where for any one to register or comment and if one clicks on the category under the categories header it comes up with Internet Explorer cannot dispay the page.
If some could assist in resloving these issues that would be great.
