Alright I solved my own problem.

So I had set the right size in my fucntions.php file but the reason why it was not displaying that size is because I had to go into media and change the size for Medium there. After I changed that everything looks perfect thanks.

@songdogtech Thank you very much I used Firebug and was able to see where I needed to change the code.
