I can’t disable troubleshooting mode and I lost the theme and everything!!!

Right but I don’t have a DEFAULT theme installed.

Well, as soon as I activated, it stated that I don’t have a default theme installed to enable it to check the installed themes. What does that mean? What default theme should I install? I do have Twenty Sixteen installed but not activated. Isn’t that a default theme? I don’t want to go any further until I hear back from you because it did offer to install one but I’m scared it will activate.

I’ve already been through this process on another WP forum with no luck. Hosting provider said it was because it is manually installed. Anyhow I need to start over and fix the previous web designers work.

No warning and I deactivated and still no update available. I see that the plugin is not compatible with my version but I think it was when it was originally downloaded a while ago. My work is piling up because I can’t update the website and I have major changes to make.

Yes it is set to false and I don’t have the same message that it’s up to date.
As you can see, I still have WordPress 4.6.1 running.

I don’t think it’s going to show up because I’m missing the message that tells you what version you are using and that never goes away. I wanted to update before enacting SSL. The extended update does look scary and I may have to try it. Where do you turn it off and on? If it’s in wp-config, I did that.

Admin side

I do have a child theme in place but the update made it worse. Can you help me fix it soon because I will have to go back to the previous version before clients see it live like this.

It’s actually not working anymore so do you have anymore ideas?

Yes, I just want a single banner image and when I use that code, the picture changes to something else. I wonder how that happens? I like the other picture much more. Is there different code to use for the picture that was there already? Thanks for your help!
