Thanks for the suggestion; I’ve checked !use important and it’s forced removal of the html underlining.
I’ve checked the other websites and that setting’s not being used, so it’s quite odd that the other sites I’ve created using the same theme aren’t doing this.
Nevertheless, all’s good again; thanks for your help.
Leon @leonwimmenhoeve,
I’ve just opened the site up and the issue’s now resolved!?
Not sure what caused it but it’s showing the padlock now.
thx
Thanks for that Leon @leonwimmenhoeve,
It does seem odd, especially as all the others are showing https correctly.
I’ll do as you say.
Thx

In reply to: [Autoptimize] What’s the ‘least slow’ shopping cart plugin?Ok, I’ve a couple of suggestions, will test and see, thanks.
Hi Amit, that’s ok, if that’s the case I’ll play around with image sizes.
Hi Amit Singh (@apprimit), do you have any thoughts or suggestions on this?
I’d been meaning to post this as a question for a week or so but I’d not got round to it.
I’ve played around with the settings I could find but nothing seems to let me show the full header image and there’s always a bit of the top chopped-off.
It might be the particular heading / menu option I’ve selected but I’d prefer to keep the hamburger one if possible.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Hi @azrulstrummers – the guys on here ARE helpful, but it’s not something that’s supported 24/7.
Sometimes we’ve got to look back through the previous posts (done that myself) and then found the answer.
Other times it’s been a few days and then someone’s been able to assist.
Hope you get your issue resolved soon.

In reply to: [Async JavaScript] The plugin is stopping my menu from workingThat’s interesting.
I’ve just re-run gtmetrix both with the convertkit plugin active and disabled and got 3.2 sec active and 3.2s disabled, but when I deleted the plugin …
.
.
.
0.7 sec!So it shows that just having the plugin’s code there was slowing the website down.
Thanks for pointing that out. I’d looked at the gtmetrix data but hadn’t interpreted that page correctly.
That’s worth remembering.
I think I need to go back to the more simple, and quicker form that I was using before, as per your suggestion actually.
thx again

In reply to: [Async JavaScript] The plugin is stopping my menu from workingThanks for the suggestion Frank.
I excluded wp-content/themes/oceanwp/assets/js/main.min.js as you suggested in both plugins and that’s cured the menu problem but I’m still left with quite slow load speed of 2.9 sec
Another site with the same theme and plugins is achieving 0.8 sec so I must be doing something wrong!?!?
Faster site
https://hypnotherapyinpeterborough.co.uk.Here’s the comparison
https://gtmetrix.com/compare/rEzSzIvC/wZkp3pR8
The only difference I can find is the slower site has the ConvertKit plugin but even when disabled the speed doesn’t drop below 2.9 so I don’t think that’s causing it to be slow.
I wondered whether you might see something I’m missing.
Thank you
Charles
Yes, it is/was a plugin issue so I ended up switching it off for now.
(should have updated on here – sorry)
It was Async JavaScript, but having just reactived it I can see that it seems to be working ok again.
I’ll keep an eye on it & let you know if there’s a problem.
(I realise it’s not for you to fix their plugin but FYI in case others have a similar issue)
Thx Amit.

In reply to: [OceanWP] change comment form “Leave a Reply” textIt should be somewhere in the form plugin you’re using.
Not sure which one – I don’t use the one suggested by OceanWp myself.
Check in the menu perhaps, as it’s probably not in customize

In reply to: [OceanWP] Blog Post Deleted But still Showing on OceanwpInteresting.
I’ve never had that ‘orphaned content’ tab appear on my site.
I googled the phrase and it seems that the page has become ‘detached’ from the others, for some reason.

When I click on https://keningauautocarecentre.com/blog/ I see two blog posts so perhaps you’ve resolved the issue?

In reply to: [OceanWP] blog sections doesn’t display in appearanceI think I know what you mean, and so …
1. If you go to Customising > General Options > General Settings the about half-way down you’ll see a selection of layouts under the heading PAGES > Layout.
2. Pick the first option Right Sidebar. That sets that to the default layout.
3. Go to any of the pages you’ve already created and check they are set to Content > Right Sidebar. It’s in the OceanWP settings below the text of the page.
4. If you’ve not yet set it up, go into Widgets and pick what you want for the Right Sidebar, save it, refresh it & see what your pages now appear as.
I can see you’ve already got a single blog post created, https://www.ekamatahona.eu/slowfashion so once you’ve got the sidebar sorted that should appear in the categories and months dropdown boxes for you.

In reply to: [OceanWP] Extra Space above Footer on Tablet and MobileApologies if I’m suggesting something you’ve already checked, but in the dashboard under Footer Bottom, if you click on the three images of Desktop, Tablet and Phone, you can set different px for top and bottom.
Perhaps that’s causing the issue – the settings might be different?

In reply to: [OceanWP] Ocean WP theme footer bugGorgeous photos & layout.
Weird how footers cause problems (have had similar myself)
As it’s only one page perhaps you could try this:
Simply create a new page and name it portfolio-mariage-temp (or similar)
Highlight and copy’n’paste everything in the page portfolio-mariage into that new one.
Save it and see what happens.
If you’re lucky it might ‘fix’ the problem, then just switch the names and you’re good to go.
Then copy over any SEO related data.
I can’t see why it would be causing you an issue, but I’m ‘just’ a user not the author so they might have a better handle on this for you.
