Problem actually didn’t resolve itself a few minutes later the jetpak banner reappeared on the dashboard and the screen options menu disappeared again, I just decided to uninstall jetpack to get rid of the banner so i can get my screen options menu back but problem might not be resolved for those who have same problem and also want jetpack

just realised what the problem was – the jetpak advertising banner was hiding my screen options tab, it took over 1 hour for jetpak to download and once it was finished the advertising banner went away and i can now see the screen options tab

I am having the same problem – there is no screen option drop down menu anywhere on the page for me to actually choose options from
I followed the instructions on the link above about adding the code into themefunctions to but this also did nothing I have no idea what to do!

thanks for the reply – i tried this but still no luck it’s just failing to show any new pages on the menu bar or pages dashboard – is this a problem with wordpress that will eventually resolve itself? I haven’t changed any of the settings so not sure what started this problem
